Gilberto: It Was Sad Leaving Arsenal

0
Gilberto has admitted he is sad to be leaving Arsenal after trading the Emirates for Greek side Panathanaikos. The Brazil captain spent six successful years with the Gunners, winning one league title and two FA Cups, but after receiving no guarantees from Arsene Wenger that he would feature heavily in the upcoming season, decided to leave [. Is Arsenal The Team To Fear Next Season? Nahh

4
Arsenal are a team I have a certain amount of sympathy for. They are a 'team in transition', with Arsene Wenger selling off the last of his 2004 'Invincibles' team this summer, eagerly anticipating the success of years gone by to return. This is a situation, as United fans, that we are very familiar with. Click to continue reading...

Prolific first team striker signs for us....

0
....but not the one we were all hoping for. There's quite a few surprising things about the signing of David Ngog, we're getting him for a mere £1.5m, he's French (and Wenger wasn't chasing him), and at just 19 years of age he's walking into the first team squad (LINK).
He's got a pretty cool reputation at international youth level for being extremely fast and a natural goalscorer, definitely highly desired traits in a striker. Click to continue reading...

Kolo Toure Has Malaria

2
Just what we needed. The man I've been wanting to captain this team for the new season contracted malaria over the summer in the Ivory Coast. He was feeling a little weakness during the training camp in Austria and was taken to the hospital for a check up, and they discovered...wait for it...that he has contracted the deadly disease. Where are they now? - Quincy Owusu-Abeyie

1
A look at Arsene Wenger's less than successful youth signings during his Arsenal tenure Quincy Owusu-Abeyie is a classic example of star potential going to waste on a player unable or unwilling to capitalise on their immense talent. In his time at Arsenal, he impressed with dazzling skills and wonderful footwork, but all too often lacked any sort [. Click to continue reading...

Ex-Arsenal striker backs former club to land silverware next season

2
The Gunners thrilled everyone with their liquid football last season, and it's clear that Arsene Wenger will insist on a similar style of play for the next campaign. Neat passing triangles and plenty of movement make them a joy to behold, but can they actually win anything playing this way? ... Click to continue reading...

Former Arsenal Star Thierry Henry Confident In His Old Club

1
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has tipped his former club to recapture the Premier League title. The Gunners have not won English football's biggest prize since 2005, but Barcelona striker Henry believes the north Londoners can turn on the style to win the title. The Frenchman's quotes may seem a little strange give Arsene Wenger has lost key [. Click to continue reading...

Arsenal May Move For Portugese Star

1
Arsenal are reported to be lining up a bid for Sporting star Miguel Veloso, according to reports, writes Craig Rodhouse. It is believed that Wenger sees 22-year-old Veloso as the perfect solution to his defensive midfielder problem, after seeing Mathieu Flamini and Gilberto Silva both leave the Emirates this season. Alonso Bid Fails

Having lost four midfielders (Lassana Diarra, Mathieu Flamini, Gilberto, Alexander Hleb) in the last six months, it is no surprise that Arsene Wenger is after another midfielder to add to Samir Nasri's arrival.  Recent interviews have alluded to this and the Wenger confirmed this in an interview after yesterday's game. Foreign Arsenal’s eight Brits

1

This summer has been notable for some of our established players moving on; at the latest count it's four, the future of a fifth is shrouded in uncertainty and I'd need to be a man with fourteen hands to tot up the 'rumours' that have been circulating about the rest of the squad departing. It's been pretty grating but quite funny too at times - my favourite being the story linking Gael Clichy to Roma, only for him to sign a contract extension later that day.

Rumour or Rubbish

2
Newspapers have little to do these days, ,neither to websites, so the best way of filling the pages up is by creating stories and then joining these stories up to create more stories.  The end result, a load of rubbish. Juventus announced 10 days ago, having bought Poulsen from Sevilla that they are not in the [. Click to continue reading...

Szombathelyi H. v Arsenal Match Preview

2
Morning all. It's hard to write up match previews for these friendlies because there isn't shite for news before them. You can't find starting lineups, you can't find anything on the other team, and the manager doesn't speak before them. But we're going to throw one out here anyway because I'm just that nice. Gunners Wenger Says He Will Make More Signings

1
Arsene Wenger has admitted he will bring in 'one or two' new signings before the season kicks off next month. The Frenchman has witnessed something of an exodus at the Emirates this summer, with Mathieu Flamini, Gilberto and Alexander Hleb all leaving for pastures new, leaving the Gunners looking somewhat depleted in the central midfield area. It doesn't make sense!......

1
Le Boss has stated that he bring in at least one player before the start of the season. With the centre of our midfield looking lightweight after the departures of Flamini and Gilberto this is probably the area Wenger will be looking to strengthen.

Gareth Barry and Yaya Toure are players that most Gooners will be happy to see arrive at the Emirates. Click to continue reading...

Arsenal's Arsene Might Cash in on Gallas

2
Arsenal fans are bracing themselves for another possible exit from their club. Captain - former captain, that is - William Gallas could be leaving the Emirates Stadium for Barcelona or Paris St. Germain. More misery for Wenger as Hleb opens a can of worms

As if this summer hadn't been bad enough for Arsene Wenger already!
