Dempsey to leave Fulham?

9
He's started just one game this season, so who can blame the 25 year old?
"The coach here now is not the one who brought me in so it's difficult proving that I deserve to be on the field," the News of the World quoted Dempsey as saying.
No one wants to hear that we might lose a Yank in the Premiership, but I'd rather see him get playing time somewhere -- especially if he's going to be a veteran on the '10 W. Click to continue reading...

Mastro race heating up

1
Transplanted Brit reporter Nick Thomas has sweetened the long-running Pablo Mastroeni-to-Europe serial by uncovering a pair of Spanish suitors in Málaga and Real Betis. Of course, the veteran midfield stopper is also wanted in Italy (by both Serie A and Serie B clubs, so they say). Mastro would prefer a move to Italy, but I'm actually much more excited by these La Liga possibilities, especially Click to continue reading...

Who Should the US Start Versus T&T

3

Six points in the bag and little doubt the US will advance to the hexagonal. However the truth be told I think the United States finishes third in the hexagonal on current form and must improve its linkup play and general possession play in the final four matches of this qualifying stage. With this in mind this is the lineup I would like to see tomorrow assuming the bucket is being used by Bradley again.

Saints Advance, Sign Spurs Striker

2
Southampton racked up a second win in the Carling Cup. Last week they beat Exter. Yesterday they beat fellow Championship club Birmingham 2-0 at St. Mary's. Lee Holmes and Adam Lallana scored for Saints.

Southampton landed young Tottenham forward Tomas Pekhart on loan for the year. I'm not a huge fan of this move.

Video: CL qualifier: Arsenal beat FC Twente, 2-0

2

Arsenal came back in the second half with Gallas and Adebayor's goal. They were missing Cesc and it showed in most part of the game. Denilson and Aaron Ramsey started and their game picked up in the second half. But it was the veterans who pulled out the win. RVP's swerving free kick which Gallas was able to put his body on and steer the ball into goal and a Theo Walcott (yes, he can be considered a veteran in this Arsenal team) pass to Adebayour to slot the ball home.
