Villa - Good enough for The Champions League?

0
Ten games in and people are saying things they may regret. Fabregas taunted Spurs with women's football jibes, Lampard questions Liverpool's staying power and Alex Ferguson tips Villa to break the big 4. If you thought the snow was early, the mind games seem to get earlier and earlier each year. Click to continue reading...

Wenger sticks to his Gunners

0

At some point yesterday morning, just as hopes of a last-minute midfield reinforcement were fading, an article with the title 'Wenger - Eboue is becoming a pass master' appeared on the official site. In it, Wenger explained how "Since the start of the season, Eboue has played well".

Slick timing: our last-minute bid for Alonso fails so it's time to big up one of our new central midfielders - Emmanuel Eboue.

Blues for Allah

I read the news today, oh boy. You couldn't make this up! With God (4 Brazilians, an Olympian Argentine and the prodigal son Sean Wright-Philips) on Our Side, Man City prove that the Premier League can be sheikhen and stirred. Having pinched Robinho from Chelski and nearly nicking Berbatov from Utd (just for fun), CITEH are [. Click to continue reading...

Frazier Campbell, good addition?

1
What do we think? I haven't see much of him if I'm honest, watching Hull wasn't high on my agenda last season.

I've had a look through some highlights and he has scored a number of good goals. I know he started for Utd against Newcastle and was involved in their pre season games so Ferguson must have rated him. Click to continue reading...

City agree fee for Berbatov

1
The biggest shock of the day comes in the shape of Berbatov going to Manchester City?!

I just don't get it at all, he must be really desperate if he ends up there. They certainly won't be in the Champions League anytime soon. I know things look more secure than they did under Shinawatra if the buy out actually goes through but it would still be a risky move for Berba. Click to continue reading...

This is after Charlton v Reading (on Setanta) at 0630. I wonder how much electricity I'm using to do this. Click to continue reading...

Jury out on the latest arrival

1

The classic Wenger signing: while we are all peering south through our binoculars hoping to catch a glimpse of a £15m midfield powerhouse, up pops a £750k veteran defender from the north.

What do I think? Well the pessimist in me hopes this isn't the only piece of business Wenger will do over the next ten days.

Dexy’s Premiership Predictions Part 1

0
After a whirlwind 1st season last year at UKFF, I don't think I faired too badly in the gypsy glass ball prediction game malarkey, well it's in the blood innit. Ok, the Manc's didn't do the treble as I thought they would but they darn well came close with 100 goal-line clearances by Pompey in the FA cup semi denying me some sheckles. There is no Zokora deal

1
There is a story flying about today about Martin Jol wanting to take Didier Zokora to Hamburg. As far as I'm concerned, it's a total fabrication.

Jol didn't even want him at Spurs, his transfer was all Comolli's work, why the hell would he want him at Hamburg?!

I saw Zokora play in a friendly at White Hart Lane against Real Sociedad, must be two years ago now. Click to continue reading...
