By JAMES CLARKCoach Bob Bradley's latest USA Men's National Team roster for the upcoming CONCACAF
qualifiers for the 2010 FIFA World Cup against Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago has a curious absence:
One Freddy Adu. Based on his performances in the USA's first two group games at the Beijing
Olympics (Adu was suspended for the third match, down to his own petulance), this sort of beggars
belief.

Whoever mashed up the theme from Team America: World Police with these USMNT highlights should get
a Gold Star the day and a 12 pack. Another guy who should get some special recognition is Sven
A.Serrano. He's taken the initiative to try and find a way around the foreign policy roadblock for
US fans who want to attend the potential US-Cuba tie in Havana.

From USSoccer.com comes some fantastic footage of what happened on & off the ball last Wednesday in
Houston. You get Gooch telling the tale of his possible world record rainbow header, Young Jozy
testifying to the intensity of the match and Bob Bradley's half-time pep talk. And what would this
be but an exercise in self-promotion by the Fed if it didn't include some footage of the fans

I saw this photo this morning and I can't get away from it. It's easily my favorite of the
relatively few pictures I've come across today of US supporters from last night's match. If you you
were in Houston we want to hear from you. Send in your pictures/recap or drop a comment and let the
rest of us know how it was for you.

Regardless of where your MLS allegiances lie, chances are that a good number of you can all rally
around the common US national team cause. And with that being the case, I imagine many of you will
be looking for a place to rally this evening -assuming you are not privileged enough to be in
Houston in person.

Africa. The game is scheduled for 10 PM ET, that's an early 7 AM on the west coast. Lots of story
lines to look forward to. With MLS just about completed, nearly all of the league's players will be
available for the match. How will Bob Bradley mix the MLS based guys with the European based

In what MLSU hopes to be a first of several research projects involving American soccer, MLSU is
tracking the age/year of birth of all players Head Coach Bob Bradley uses during the 2010 World Cup
cycle. The idea behind the project is to see the age distribution of the players Bradley has used.
Hopefully, some conclusions or theories can be created with this data.

Just noticed this and wanted to pass it along. Here's the latest on the US-Catalonia October
fixture direct from the mouth of Sunil Gulati: "There have been a lot of questions raised about the
game against Catalonia. We have a signed agreement with the Catalonia Federation to play the match.
As is the case with all of our contracts that don't deal directly with a member of FIFA, there is a

Sorry, for the terrible Staind reference. But yes, MLSU apologizes for the lack of posts. As the
season is winding down, there just isn't a lot of player movement both domestically and
internationally, so not much to report. There are a few interesting stories across American soccer:
The Amado Guevara Saga- For Red Bulls fans, will this ever end?

The Spanish Football Federation has ruled by a majority vote to cancel the United States friendly

against Denmark as a scheduling conflict with Catalonia's friendly with the Americans. With the
friendly against Catalonia nixed, will the United States hold a mini-camp followed by the friendly
against
