We have our own Rory Delap

0
So why not start using him? Gareth Bale can launch a throw in the same manner as Rory Delap and I think we should utilise this part of his game more. I'm not saying we make it a staple part of our play like Stoke but there would be no harm mixing it up a bit with a few 'Bale Bombs'.

Yesterday's defeat at the hands of Everton was unlucky but we have had our fair share of luck since Harry took over so I'm not going to let it get me down. Click to continue reading...

NEC Nijmegen v Tottenham - Pain Preview

1
A game Spurs should have a decent chance of winning on current form and more or less qualify for the last 32 of the UEFA Cup in the process.

Alan Hutton is expected to be out for Tottenham with his long term foot injury. Luka Modric is still out and Vedran Corluka and striker Roman Pavlyuchenko are both cup-tied. Click to continue reading...

Gallas and Arsenal the biggest joke of all

6
Let's cast our minds back a month or so. Spurs were bottom of the league, some way adrift, and didn't look like winning another game anytime soon. Arsenal fans were having a field day and came up with a number of Tottenham jokes that just kept on coming. It's gone all quite on that front since Harry arrived at the Lane and over the last few days the boot is well and truly on the other foot. Click to continue reading...

Bent must take his chance

4
Darren Bent has a massive opportunity tonight. In normal circumstances he probably wouldn't get a look in, but with the players that are missing and the form he has been in of late, he could well start for England tonight against Germany. Capello has reportedly spoken with Bent regarding the way he wants him to play which points to him playing at least some part. Click to continue reading...

You can only endure a clown for so long

3
I knew it wouldn't be long before Heurelho Gomes cost us a game under Harry and it finally happened yesterday at Craven Cottage. I've been fighting his corner while most people have been knocking our Brazilian keeper be you cannot defend the indefensible.

His save from Jimmy Bullard's free kick was exceptional but ultimately pointless. Click to continue reading...

Tottenham v Liverpool - Pain Preview

0
Spurs go into tonight's game unbeaten under Harry Redknapp as well as having beaten Liverpool 2-1 earlier this month at White Hart Lane. This will be a quite different Liverpool side with Rafa Benitez likely to give his fringe players a game while resting his stars. Will this make things easier for Tottenham though? Man City - Pain Review

0
Is Harry actually God? I've never believed in God before but I'm starting to see the light.

Since Harry Redknapp took charge.

Played 5
Won 4
Drawn 1 (We can allow God an off day)

Before he took charge I was starting to think we would never win a game ever again. Click to continue reading...

New goalkeeper a Given

0
Spurs have been strongly linked in the press today with Newcastle Goalkeeper Shay Given. Harry is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying: "Shay Given is a great goalkeeper who I admire. Any manager would have to be interested in him if he became available."

Given is a very solid goalkeeper and would be a great acquisition for Tottenham. Click to continue reading...

House of cards

0
Like every other Tottenham fan, I couldn't be happier at the minute. Our first league win of the season against Bolton, come back from the dead away to Arsenal, then get a victory against the unbeaten league leaders Liverpool to take us off the bottom of the table.

A lot of pundits are saying Harry has been extremely lucky which I suppose he has but I just feel like some managers have that about them and some don't. Click to continue reading...

LICK EM UP AARON

0
Unfeckingbelievable. I'm still coming down. Arsenal fans are saying why are we celebrating like it's a win? Because it felt like a fcuking win, one of the greatest comebacks in history. We might well have been battered for large periods of the game but the fact we battled for 94mins speaks volumes. The amount of confidence the players will get off the back of a result like that is unreal. Click to continue reading...

What a difference a week makes. I still think we will likely get beat but at least we go into the game with a renewed optimism as do the players.

Harry to take charge against Bolton

0
It sounds like our new manager Harry Redknapp is going to be more or less in charge for today's game against Bolton. He met the players this morning and was going to consult with Clive Allen and pick the team from the players available.

I don't know whether he'll be in the dugout or in the stands but it will be a big boost for the players to have him there in some some shape or form. Click to continue reading...

Harry Redknapp to take over!

Harry could be in charge by tomorrow, this is unreal, it's all happening!

I'm sure he'll take the job if offered it if he hasn't already.

Maybe he'll bring Jamie in as Director of Fashion alongside him. Click to continue reading...

Ramos, Comolli and Poyet all sacked!

1
Breaking news, I'll post more as I hear it.

I wasn't expecting this on a Saturday night, Levy probably acted to avoid a big demo tomorrow.

Clive Allen takes charge for the Bolton game.

Any idea's on who they have lined up, because I'm sure there is someone? Click to continue reading...

The players that can change our season

0
The majority of the players that have been on the pitch week in week out just aren't performing or aren't up to the job. I think it has a lot to do with them being to lightweight and not up for a scrap. These are the players we are yet to see much of, but I feel they can all make a difference to us.

Alan Hutton - I rate Hutton as one of the best full backs in the country. Click to continue reading...

I hope Millwall get promoted

1
I can't wait to get down The Den next season and watch them play Spurs.

I'm kind of resigned to the fact we are doomed. When I saw the back four today with Hutton back I felt quite positive but then the game started. Bale is a great player but he is still a bit suspect defensively, quite similar to how Ashley Cole was early in his career. Click to continue reading...

Top 5 annoying things about Spurs

0
5. Jermain Defoe - How good is he? I knew he was a top player in his time at the Lane but he just seems to have flourished since joining Pompey. With Capello not picking players purely on the basis of their name, Defoe looks to have a bright future for the National team too. How we need him now!

Should Ramos be given until Christmas - YES or NO!

0
Do you think Juande should be given until Christmas to turn things around?

I'd say it's about 70-30 in favour of him being given the boot at the moment. My worry is if Levy does stick with the granite faced Spaniard until the end of December, and we are still bottom of the league, our Premier League status will likely be over. Click to continue reading...

The final straw

0
I think we have seen Juande Ramos' last game in charge of Tottenham Hotspur. With Martin Jol at the helm Spurs were in much healthier shape, back to back 5th place finishes and a side that looked like they could play football together, but that wasn't good enough. Under Ramos, Spurs have managed just 2 points from the last 24 in the Premier League. Click to continue reading...

Tottenham v Hull - Pain Preview

0
Is this finally the game where Tottenham pick up 3 league points? Hull were considered certainties for relegation at the start of the season but what Spurs fan wouldn't want to swop their start for ours? On form, Hull should be favourites for this game. They are big outsiders. Is there any reason why the same players that haven't managed to win in their first six league games can beat a side that only last week turned Arsenal over at the Emirates? Mark Ha Ha Ha Hughes

0
The Sun's top story today is an amazing work of fiction by Ian McGarry claiming Spurs officials have met with Mark Hughes' advisors with regard to a £20m five year deal to take over at the Lane.

OK, he'll be under pressure to deliver with the cash at his disposal, but why leave until he has to, especially to come to a club bottom of the Premier League? Click to continue reading...

Hull, Stoke and Bolton - The Desperation Stakes

1
Putting Wisla Krakow in the title took its catchy feel away but I'm also taking that game into consideration! If our slender 2-1 lead proves not to be enough and we crash out of the UEFA Cup on Thursday night, will Levy call time on the Ramos reign?

I personally think the board will give Ramos more time. Click to continue reading...

Have we turned the corner?

0
Unbeaten in three, have Spurs finally found their feet this season?

There is a consensus of opinion among the more pessimistic fans that Newcastle was a bad result because it's just delayed the inevitable - Ramos' exit. Personally I don't agree.

Changing another manager isn't going to help us, we need stability. Click to continue reading...

Newcastle v Tottenham - Pain Preview

0
Did anyone think we would be playing in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup yet to win a league game and with our manager's future hanging in the balance? I know I didn't. He may have won much bigger honours with Sevilla but this Carling Cup tie is one of the biggest games in Juande Ramos' career. Does he have what it takes to get a result against what is probably the most underachieving team in the Premiership currently apart from ourselves or will this game spell the beginning of the end for Wendy. Wise and Poyet in if we lose to Newcastle?!!

1
I don't know how true this is, but there is a rumour flying about this afternoon that Dennis Wise could be joining Gus Poyet in a joint managerial role if Newcastle dump us out the Carling Cup on Wednesday night!

I'm not one to take much notice of this sort of stuff but the guy that told me also said we'd sign Bent about six months before it actually happened, that was bad new as well! Click to continue reading...

I love Ramos but...

0
His English needs some serious work. He's put what I believe to be a decent statement out to the press tonight but because his English isn't that great, his point isn't put across as well as it could be.

"We need to improve, little by little. It could be 10, 12 or 15 games. No limit.

"Yes, I am worried because we need points. Click to continue reading...

Would the Carling Cup winners please stand up

1
Spurs did beat Chelsea and Arsenal on the way to lifting the Carling Cup last season didn't they?! Now, with what is without doubt a stronger squad, Tottenham can't even beat the likes of Sunderland at White Hart Lane.

I'm not panicking or on the let's question Ramos' credential's bandwagon, but I am disappointed that we look like ending up with another very average league position this season. Click to continue reading...

The Quick Six

We have six games coming up in the space of seventeen days which I think can erase from memory our disappointing double defeat opening to the season.

Will you be supporting England or Croatia tonight?

0
I'm not jumping on the bandwagon, England have been disappointing me for years. My loyalties are somewhat divided in any case, my old man is Scottish but my Grandad played for England. I see myself as English though and there is nothing I like more than going out with mates cheering on the side in the big competitions. Click to continue reading...

Tottenham can start their season Monday night

0
Does anyone else hate International games as much as me? I can't stand all these breaks to watch our useless national team embarrass us. The top 5 WORST Spurs players of all time

2
Like yesterday, these are just the players from my time supporting Spurs. I'm sure there are some shockers I've omitted from further back!

The top 5 Spurs players of all time

2
That title is possibly a bit misleading because I'm not quite old enough to cover since 1882 but I'll just go as far back as my memory will take me! I'll be looking at about the last 20 years or so.
5. Teddy Sheringham - Ok, I know whenever he signs for a new club it has always been his lifelong dream to go there but you can't argue with the player Teddy was for Tottenham. Click to continue reading...

Ramos gives me a quick answer

0
I was questioning yesterday whether Juande Ramos was happy with the performance of the Spurs hierarchy in the transfer market. Well it seems like he is judging by his interview with tottenhamhotspur.com

"I have little doubt that we have a squad of greater overall quality now than when I began at this club a year ago," Ramos said. Click to continue reading...
