Terim Sorry for tense behaviour

0
The Turkish national football team coach, Fatih Terim, has apologized for his behavior towards Belgium's Rene Vandereycken during the two team's World Cup qualifying group game last Wednesday. Terim responded to what he called an "abusive gesture" by the Belgian, by making a gesture of his own and walking towards Click to continue reading...

Mohammed Adama Sarr

Sarr II. Terim döneminde Galatasaray'a gelmişti. Fabio Pinto ve Felipe senesi yani. Gakatasaray'da pek yer bulamadı, kiralandığı Milan'a geri döndü. İncecik dal gibiydi, defans oyuncuları için gerekli olan kalıp yoktu. Aklımda Olimpiyat Stadyumu'nun açılış maçında attığı golün sayılmadığı kalmış. Click to continue reading...

Türkiye - Belçika

1

1
Bir dönem yaptığı çıkışla kendisiyle Real Madrid'in ilgilendiği söylenmişti. Click to continue reading...

The Löw machine rolls on as Lahm slaughters Turkey

1
Well all the clichés about the Germans were out in force for this semi-final although they actually progressed to the final through skillful counter-attacking football rather than ruthless efficiency, giving Turkey a taste of their own medicine with a last minute winner from Philippe Lahm,
Senturk had, once again, set up a grandstand finish with his 86th minute equaliser just reward for a fantastic team performance, especially in light of their injuries and suspensions which meant that Fatih Terim had only 13 outfield players available to him. Click to continue reading...

Transfer Rumours (26 June 08): Crouch to Arsenal, Bentley to Tottenham, Lennon to Newcastle and more

37
Great match yesterday as Turkey played Germany off the park but had their luck run out on them. Still, one of the standout teams in the tournament and Fatih Terim is a wanted man across Europe now. On to today's rumours and transfer gossip: Rumours abound that Arsenal are lining up Peter Crouch as a [. Click to continue reading...

No Stopping Them

In the end, then, Turkey didn't have quite enough about them to be able to keep Germany at bay but, lord, they have given us some fabulous memories in this tournament and will be sadly missed in the final on Sunday evening. Germany, by contrast, are in the final of another major tournament without having played particularly well last night, and will face the winners of tonight's match between Spain and Russia. Magnificent Turks bow out of the Semih-finals

2

Semih Senturk did it again. He guided the ball exquisitely between Lehmann and the goalpost for a 86th minute goal after Sabri turned Philip Lahm inside out at the sideline and then slid the ball across. Semih was at hand to beat out Lehmann and Metzleder. The magnificent Turks had stormed back after they familiarly looked defeat in the face from a Miroslav Klose goal in the 80th minute.

Turkey Could Face Germany With Only 14 Players.

1

You've heard by now that Turkey have got problems. Of the 23 players that Fatih Terim took to Swissaustria he'll potentially be down to just 14 for the big semi-final against Germany tomorrow. And after seeing what Germany did to a full strength Portugal team, that has to be cause for concern.

Turkey have shown incredible heart to make it this far with not one, not two, but three last minute comebacks.

Turkey 3-2 Czech Republic, Watching Turkey is just asking for a heart attack

2
It was do or die time for the Turks. It was either beat these Czechs one way or another, or go home. Fatih Terim loves these kind of matches and decided to field an offensive line-up which raised eye-brows when it was revelaed that 5 Galatasaray players would take the Click to continue reading...

UEFA liven up potentially drab match by submerging pitch

0
After concerns expressed by representatives from the BBC, (mainly "shining wit" Gary Lineker) that no-one would want to watch the, less than, glamorous Switzerland vs Turkey match, UEFA last night controversially decided to flood the pitch at the St Jakob-Park stadium in Basel with 1.2 million gallons of water in an effort to provide much needed encouragement for British TV viewers to tune in.
