Echeverry Out for the Season

The speculation may now officially be laid to rest. Oscar Echeverry has been playing injured. Quite injured.

According to Brian Lewis at the NY Post, Eche will go under the knife for season ending knee surgery. This leaves the forward options extremely thin up top - with Wolyniec and Megaloudis being the top forward options (since Magee seems to be considered a midfielder now adays).

Spector facing surgery, could miss Olympics

U.S. national team defender Jonathan Spector is facing surgery to repair a torn labrum, surgery that could sideline him from three to six months and would force him to miss the Olympics.

If Spector does wind up having surgery, which appears likely, it would be a big blow to the U.
