Yoann Gourcuff grabs his chance in his first start for France in a 2-1 victory, and who is that new player on the left? I like the look of him.

I'm buzzing from that France performance. I wrote about it a bit already, but the buzz still hasn't subsided.

I'm wary of getting carried away with hyperbole, but Yoann Gourcuff was a revelation, I thought. Starting in that most coveted of positions, central attacking midfield, the number 10 position, the Zidane role, he had a fine debut, with any number of marauding runs forward.

Third time lucky for Craig Lindfield

A couple of years ago, the Reds starlet had many of us dreaming we'd found the next home grown talent capable of breaking through to the first team. Playing alongside his hero (Fowler), he scored on his Liverpool debut at just 17 years of age.

Last season he had 2 loan spells and scored a stunning volley on his debut for Notts County, sadly both loan spells were cut short because the clubs couldn't afford his wages. Click to continue reading...

Cherries Land Lindfield

Bournemouth have signed Liverpool's teenage striker Craig Lindfield on loan until the end of December.

Lindfield has yet to make a first-team appearance for Liverpool, but had loan spells at Notts County and Chester City last season.

Utd line up Spurs coach as Fergie's number 2 !

Man United are lining up Spurs' assistant manager Gus Poyet according to reports in the Mail on Sunday.

The Uruguaian coach joined the club just last year and has proved an instant hit at the club for which he previously played. Second in line to Juande Ramos, this is already the 40 year old's third job in his short coaching career after spells at Swindon and Leeds.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Kheli Dube scored in the 70th minute and it was all the Revs needed to overcome a shorthanded Santos Laguna team in a 1-0 victory in the opener of SuperLiga Group B play Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

Peter Crouch Completes Portsmouth Move

Striker Peter Crouch has finally completed his move from Liverpool to Portsmouth, signing a four-year contract with the FA Cup holders.

The deal, which could be worth up to £11 million, sees the 27-year-old return to Portsmouth six years after leaving the south coast club.

Euro 2008 Semi-final: Spain 3-0 Russia

These two teams met in their opening match of the tournament, with Spain convincing 4-1 winners. Since then, Russia had surprised everybody by not just recovering but improving enough to demolish the Netherlands in the quarter-finals, while Spain had been winning withut exactly bowling people over.
