REPORT: Further Evidence that MLS Eyes Single-Table Future

6
We love the single table format. That said, we also love rumors that MLS may be headed in that direction. With everyone from Sean Wheelock to Greg Lalas, to Shep Messing commenting on it as of late there must be something to the rumors. So we decided to look for any fact based evidence rather than seek out a New York bartender who keeps Don Garber's tab. Click to continue reading...

If you're heading to the Revs match versus the Goats tommorrow night I'd encourage you to bring a deflated soccer ball. Strange request I know but hear me out. The Revs are collecting deflated soccer balls on Thursday at match to ship to Iraqi children. The initiative, dubbed Operation Soccer Ball, is a humanitarian effort to spread universal goodwill, camaraderie and friendship between nations and provide hope to the people of Iraq through the "universal language" of soccer. Sociological Experiment In Scotland

1
This a fantastic little video made by curious people in Edinburgh to see how the masses react to over a dozen unattended footballs left on the street. One which they should repeat many times over. In fact, they should do one in every major European city to see who steals them the fastest, making them [. Click to continue reading...

When was the last time you saw one of these?

Recognize that ball up there in the corner? Of course you do, as the design is somewhat iconic. But it's also one design you almost never see these days. Amid the swoops and sashes, an incredible pallette of colors (including my personal pet peeve, the hideous yellow and purple thing now so fashionable in the English Premier League) and designs that clearly come from frustrated Jackson Pollock wannabes and hallucinogenic trips the world over, there's something somewhat comfortable about the simple black pentagon on white truncated icosahedron design.
