Progress

0

Chivas USA took three points at the HDC against the Wizards Saturday.

The good.

Alecko Eskandarian. Four goals in seven games, only four of these seven games were starts.

Maykel Galindo played. Even injured and rusty, the guy is awesome. His attacking runs and style of agressive play is missed.

Wizards to Take on Ex-Wizards

1
Well, not quite, but with 4 players on Chivas, and their coach being former Kansas City Wizards, it certainly seems like it. There will be plenty of old faces on the opposite side of the ball tomorrow, as Chivas has former Wizards Carey Talley, Shavar Thomas, Alex Zotinca, and recently acquired Sasha Victorine, along with the greatest Wizard of all time, Preki on the Chivas USA bench. Practice Fun

1
Hillcrest was able to get out to practice today and watch a pretty intense session. The guys started out with small-group passing drills, then progressed to larger full-field movement sessions before an 11-v-11 scrimmage. The temperature was perfect and led to some good up-and-down play.

I'm looking forward to watching us play Chivas USA and their bevy of former Wizards this weekend. Click to continue reading...

CONCACAF Champions League: What have we learned in the 1st half?

2
New England is slow.

Attiba Harris couldn't score at The Bunny Ranch with a fistful of $20's.

Zach Thornton loves Panamanian cuisine.

Let's see what happens in the second 45 minutes...

Quick corner for Joe Public. The Revs defend well though and it's cleared. Click to continue reading...

Happy Birthday Lance Parker

1

That's Lance on the left along with veteran midfielder Jesse Marsch and Jamaican defender Shavar Thomas on the set of KTLA in LA, as part of the "Shirt Off Their Back" promotion Chivas ran earlier this season. Way to represent Lance!

There are also plenty of action shots to be found on Google but I thought this one might get me more traffic If you click on the photo, you'll get a larger version.

Walking wounded

1
Unless something drastic changes, there is quite a bit of talent and experience that will be absent for Chivas USA against the Galaxy on Thursday.

Now, that doesn't mean that the club will field a reserve team or anything but there are concerns over certain aspects of Chivas USA's potential lineup. Click to continue reading...

San Jose Earthquakes 3 - Los Angeles Galaxy 2

4

Before I get into the guts of this post, which will be short anyway, I just want to say that I do not consider myself to be a tactical or analytic genius when it comes to futbol. I expect much of what I say will be up for debate and that people will feel free to tell me when they think I'm a raging idiot in the comments.

Draw all over LA

1

Chivas USA draw in the most recent battle for LA. Chivas USA scored there only point through Ante Razov with a spectacular strike from outside the box. To be fair, he deserves goal of the week... again.

Brad was Brad stopping almost every shot on goal. Buddle snuck one past.

Shavar Thomas is back in the fold and played great.

Chivas USA-Galaxy at Home Depot Center

6

Five changes for the Galaxy this evening after last week's loss to New England and no wins in the last three games.

Most fans will undoubtedly be pleased to know that even with an ankle injury to central defender Sean Franklin that was announced Wednesday the hapless Abel Xavier is nowhere to be seen.

Handling the upcoming schedule

That's four games in 11 days. Click to continue reading...
