Genius

1
It's not often that we just lift other people's articles word for word, but sometimes a writer just hits the nail so accurately on the head that even my fantastically oversized ego will not allow me to have another crack at. So here then, presented unabridged for your collective enjoyment, is a few words of wisdom from The Times' sports editor, directed at a certain Shaun Wright-Phillips from last week's newspaper:

"As anyone who has taken on the Herculean task of interviewing him would confirm, it is difficult to feel sorry for Shaun Wright-Phillips, a young man as uncooperative as he is inarticulate, but his plight over the last seven days is deserving of considerable sympathy.

I just wanted to include a link to another article from former Republic of Ireland forward Tony Cascarino that he wrote for the London Times where he comments on Robbie Keane's move to Liverpool and Shaun Wright-Phillips' move back to Manchester City. Premier League - Week Three

Chelsea 1 - 1 Spurs
After three weeks, there is not a single team that has a 100% record. Chelsea and Liverpool were the only clubs to win their first two matches, but they both were held to draws over the weekend. Manchester City joy as the prodigal son returns

0
I wrote on here on Friday that Shaun Wright-Phillips was back where he belongs. Most people felt that his move back to Manchester City was a good move for all concerned. Not many would have predicted that he would score two goals in his first game, a 3-0 win at Sunderland. The look of joy on his face after both goals portrayed all of his feelings of happiness and relief. Click to continue reading...
