What happened to AC Milan’s Flamini and Senderos?

1
I, like many of you, keep track of what ex-Gunners are doing after their departure. Mathieu and Philippe are fresh of that and I do follow the Italian Serie A and their teams pretty closely. The latest on the two A.C. Milan stars are not good for those who still "love" these them. The Frenchman, [... Click to continue reading...

I Blame Gallas, But Not Only Gallas...It's Effort Too

2
Ok so it's been a busy weekend and I haven't had a chance to post. I had to coach my team on Saturday, then go to the FSU-Colorado game, then Sunday I had the Jaguars-Texans game so I didn't get a chance to do a match preview. My bad. And maybe I'm bad luck because we lost...to Hull City...at home. Click to continue reading...

0
Johan Djourou has signed a new, long-term contract with Arsenal which will reportedly see him stay at the club until 2012. The 21-year-old Switzerland international centre-back joined the Gunners from Etoile Carouge in 2003. Born in the Ivory Coast but raised in Geneva, Djourou has made four appearances this season most recently coming off the bench to [. Click to continue reading...

2
AC Milan new-boy Philippe Senderos has labelled his move to the Italian giants as a ‘dream come true', after penning a twelve-month loan deal with Carlo Anceletti's side. The 23-year-old stopper was a surprise swoop for the Rossoneri as they looked to strengthen their back line for a Scudetto push. Click to continue reading...

No New Signing After All

0
Morning all. While for most of the summer I have been so supportive of Arsene Wenger and figured he would certainly improve the squad and make it competitive before the transfer window closes, I've found myself drifting further and further over the other side, and today is no exception.

After the first leg against FC Twente, Wenger had this to say to Arsenal. Click to continue reading...

The more AW talks the more frustrating he becomes

0

Perhaps some football tonight can take our minds off all the stuff like ...erm... football. Er... it's the return leg against Shteve McClaren'sh FC Twente and the good news is that Cesc Fabregas is fit.

The boss says he doesn't know if he's going to play him from the start or not but I think he will.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Phillipe Senderos is undergoing a medical at AC Milan, ahead of season-long loan to the Italian giants. And following the arrival of Mikel Silvestre top the Emirates from Manchester United, Wenger feels that it would be benificial for [. Click to continue reading...

Fabregas In, Senderos Out - Twente Team News

2
Arsenal midfield maestro Cesc Fabregas is set to return from a hamstring injury as the Gunners' play the return leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifier against FC Twente at Emirates Stadium tomorrow evening. Big Phil Leaves

0
The departure of Phillipe Senderos will be announced today,a much maligned player who never really reached his full potential leaves Arsenal. After persisting with Senderos for several seasons, Arsene has realised that he will never be the new Tony Adams.  Too often the Swiss defender has been bullied by big centre forwards, too often he has [. Senderos exits?

0

So I just wrote this post about Senderos leaving. It disappeared. Weird. To recap my point, rumors are strongly blowing in from Milan that the Swiss defender is on his way out the door in a loan deal for the entire year, with AC Milan holding the option to sign him at the end of the loan spell. Senderos joins former Gunner Flamini, whose departure some of us are still mourning.

AC Philan?

1

Tonight it emerges that Phil Senderos could be off, on loan, to AC Milan.

My first thought? Bad timing, really.

Phil Senderos has blown hot and cold for some time and it's pretty clear that the way things are right now, he's not first choice at Arsenal. He had an average season last year and with Djourou seemingly ahead in the pecking order, something had to give.

Senderos to Milan for a season while Arsene Wenger has Supporters asking questions

1
"When are you going to bring in a new midfielder?";

"Why is there no contingency plan for the spate of injuries?";

"What are you playing at?"; and

"Wtf?"

These are some of the questions Arsenal supporters are posing to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

His answers have included:

Buying is not always the solution. Click to continue reading...

Arsene Wenger Has F***ing Lost It

2
Ok that is just about enough Arsene. I'm one of your biggest supporters and have stuck by you through the summer and every summer before when you have sold and let players leave without sufficiently replacing them, but this is the final straw. Letting Phillippe Senderos go to Milan on loan for the season is absolutely ridiculous. Click to continue reading...

Arsenal defender set to sign for Milan

0
Arsenal defender Phillippe Senderos is close to joining AC Milan after it was reported he is undergoing a medical in Milan today. The Swiss international has struggled to nail down a first team place at the Emirates over the past 12 months with William Gallas and Kolo Toure forming a solid partnership in the centre of the Gunners defence. Milan Get Another Gunner

0
Reports in Italy today suggest that Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos is close to securing a season-long loan move to Italian giants AC Milan. The loan, which will see Swiss international Senderos reunite with ex-Gunners' team-mate Mathieu Flamini, has an option to make the switch permanent which could come into place if the 23-year-old impresses during his [. III. Londra Milano Seferi

0
Click to continue reading...

Senderos to Leave - Tiago to Join?

3
Philippe Senderos is about to end his ignominious career at Arsenal, the only questions to be answered is where will he go and why has it taken Wenger so long to realise his frailties. Arsenal are in talks with Newcastle, AC Milan and one other club, so far not named, to discuss the imminent transfer of [. Click to continue reading...

Jury out on the latest arrival

1

The classic Wenger signing: while we are all peering south through our binoculars hoping to catch a glimpse of a £15m midfield powerhouse, up pops a £750k veteran defender from the north.

What do I think? Well the pessimist in me hopes this isn't the only piece of business Wenger will do over the next ten days.

Wait, What?

0

And the first player to transfer from Manchester United to Arsenal in 34 years is...Mikaël Silvestre.

Who on Earth saw that coming? We do make our transfers quiet, I'll give you that.

He's not our normal style of signing. He's 31. He's a defender. He's French. (Okay, that one negates the other ones.

Reports - Wenger Still Wants Inler

3
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is to make one final attempt to sign Swiss International Gokhan Inler from Serie A side Udinese, according to reports in The Daily Mail. Bad luck and bad planning

3
The squad is looking more than thread bare for tomorrow's trip to Holland; injuries to Toure, Diaby, Nasri, Senderos and Fabregas have left us rather exposed to failing to qualify for the Champions League next season. Add this list to Rosicky and Eduardo and we're not far from having a whole quality side out resting on the treatment table. Click to continue reading...

Wenger makes his priorities clear

8

How do?

It's all about trophies. Trophies and silverware. Trophies and silverware and cups. Trophies and silverware and cups and prizes. Trophies and silverware and cups and prizes and medals. Yep. That's according to the boss anyway who has prioritised the league and the Champions League, as you might imagine.

Saturday stuff

3

Good Saturday to you all.

There's a certain amount of *boilk* this morning but nothing too terrible. Certainly nothing sausages, bacon, white pudding, fried eggs, toast, orange juice and about 1800mg of Ibuprofen won't fix.

Not a huge amount going on in the word of Arsenal.

Kolo Toure Has Malaria

3
Just what we needed. The man I've been wanting to captain this team for the new season contracted malaria over the summer in the Ivory Coast. He was feeling a little weakness during the training camp in Austria and was taken to the hospital for a check up, and they discovered...wait for it...that he has contracted the deadly disease. Can Senderos ever make the breakthrough?.....

2
Phil Senderos has been at Arsenal since 2003 and has never really established himself a role in the starting line-up.

He is now 23 and still has time on his side, so there is no doubt that he is still improving as a player and will get better.

He seems more comfortable playing alongside Toure at the back and some Gooners feel that this is the best defensive partnership at the club. Click to continue reading...

Szombathelyi H. v Arsenal Match Preview

2
Morning all. It's hard to write up match previews for these friendlies because there isn't shite for news before them. You can't find starting lineups, you can't find anything on the other team, and the manager doesn't speak before them. But we're going to throw one out here anyway because I'm just that nice. Bert, Shirt and absolutely nothing else at all

1

Bert

If Gilberto slips off to Greece, it won't be much of a surprise, let's be honest. His light dimmed significantly last season and though he remained professional and gracious about things (other footballers, take note), a leap back into the reckoning after such a fall from it always seemed unlikely.

Our 1st and 2nd teams. How strong do we look?

Our Potential 1st and 2nd team players for every position. The day of nothing

1

Good Monday to you all. It's that day. That special day that we all look forward to in the summer. I call it 'The day of nothing'.

This is the day in the summer when there is nothing happening. Perhaps something might happen later on but at the moment the only something is nothing.

2008/09 Fixtures

1

The fixtures have been announced. First reactions aren't anything too significant. The opening match will be against West Brom on 16 August. Obviously, the two months between now and then seem like such a long time, but in actuality will be here sooner than I realize it will.

In the never ending Alexander Hleb saga, it just took an(nother) interesting turn.

Defending big Phil

0
Whatever one thinks of Philip Senderos as a footballer, he has always come across to me as a genuinely top bloke on and off the pitch, in fact I don't think I have ever seen a player look so genuinely remorseful after being hashly sent off earlier this season. Big Phil is a good guy and should be shown a little bit of respect by us Arsenal fans. Click to continue reading...
