Sassuolo Surprise of Serie B

Serie B has always been an interesting championship. There's always a good mix of clubs that were just in Serie A, clubs with lots of history and tradition, yo-yo Serie B/C clubs, and little teams that performed miracles by just getting promoted to Serie B. There are always those teams out to surprise, and this year the Italian second division has been extremely interesting.

Serie B Preview 2008/2009

Along with Serie A this weekend, Serie B will kick-off as well. The second division has many exciting teams this year and it should provide for an interesting campaign. In my opinion Serie B is the best second division in Europe. There are so many quality players in Serie B and it is a league with lots of skill and technique.

Serie B makes roster changes and other news from the second division

Serie B (which I still consider to be Europe's top second division) has made some changes for next season regarding squad size. Even though they play 42 games in Serie B, lots of squads have very big rosters and most coaches don't tinker with the line-up often, which culminates in lots of players sitting on the bench all year.
