Argentina - Paraguay 1-1

3
What is it about Carlos Tevez that he loses his cool when he puts on the Argentina jersey? He was sent off today in the match against Paraguay for the second time in 3 matches as the match ended in a 1-1 draw. This is a great result for Paraguay as they continue to lead the South American qualifying group and got a vital result in Buenos Aires. Click to continue reading...

Santa Cruz Signs New Blackburn Deal, Man City Sign Kompany, Valero Joins WBA

1
Quite suprisingly (in my opinion), Santa Cruz has ended speculation linking him with a move to Man City by signing a new 4 year contract at Blackburn Rovers. Cruz will now be set to stay with the club until 2012, ending any possible interest from the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham, Villa and Man [. Click to continue reading...

Rovers Eyeing Valencia Duo - Taller than Peter Crouch!

0
Blackburn Rovers are considering a double swoop of Valencia's Joaquin and Nikola Zigic. These two additions would greatly improve Paul Ince's side as they aim to replace the departed David Bentley (and possibly Roque Santa Cruz if he leaves).

For those of you that aren't familiar with these two players, you soon will be. Click to continue reading...

David Bentley's Weird 1940s Era Pilot Haircut

Bentley knew from the first whistle this wouldn't be his 'debut performance.' Tottenham didn't have the pressure-free pleasure enjoyed by Rovers, who didn't have anything to prove at least as far as the league was concerned. But he was tired of all the running and wanted to live in London again. He we would only really miss Santa Cruz. Click to continue reading...

Santa Cruz sin representante en torneos continentales.

0

From Ade Cool to Ade Lukewarm

2

Just a quick comment this morning on Wenger's 'quotes' about Arsenal effectively being a selling club, and needing to balance the books year on year to pay for the stadium.

If you look at the more reputable papers this morning, while it is true they have picked the story up, they have done so rather hesitantly and have added caveats like "was reported as saying" and "was quoted as saying" to his so-called words.

US 8-0 Barbados and Other CONCACAF Thoughts

0

I trust we all watched the US match yesterday and if you did not see it, you didn't need to. Barbados missing four of their five best players got rolled by a fired up US squad 8-0. While the scoreline was impressive, many concerns still persist for the U.S. like keeping proper spacing between attackers on the pitch and players knowing their respective roles while on the pitch.
