Anchorwomen win 2-0, clinch first LEC victory

They did it. The Rhode Island College Anchorwomen, who hadn't won since August 30th, and having endured a 15-game winless streak, finally clinched their first Little East Conference win this afternoon. Tradition renewed

Well, here I am.

I'm at the Panera Bread in Smithfield after another RIC Soccer game for the first time in nearly a year. In all honesty, I didn't know how much I'd miss this little routine of mine 'til today. And it's only fitting that I resume this habit only minutes after I caught up with last year's senior captain Kerry Donahue and her mother Pam, both of whom took in this afternoon's RIC-Keene State game. Anchorwomen drop tough 2-1 game to 8th-ranked Wesleyan

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Wesleyan's Hillary Biggs gave her club the go-ahead goal in the 56th minute en route to a 2-1 victory over the Rhode Island College Anchorwomen at RIC Soccer Field Wednesday night.

Biggs and Cora Lautze (25th minute) scored for the eighth-ranked. Christina Tavana scored for the Anchorwomen in the 29th minute. Click to continue reading...
