0
The turmoil at Newcastle took another twist today when they announced that Tony Jimenez has left the club. The vice-president (player recruitment) was appointed by Mike Ashley back in January and was part of the set-up including Dennis Wise, that so upset Kevin Keegan and most of the Newcastle fans. Four games for Ramos

5
According to the Sun newspaper, Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has got just four games to save his job. That means he would have to get results at Wisla Krakow, at home to Hull and Bolton and away at Stoke. To be fair, if Tottenham don't win at least three of those games, then I don't think Ramos could complain about being shown the door. Click to continue reading...

Owen sends rallying cry to the Newcastle players

1
Newcastle United captain Michael Owen has told his team-mates to "snap out of the doom and gloom" that he thinks is adversely affecting the team. Newcastle have lost their last three games and sit only one from the bottom of the Premier League. The club is manager less and for sale. There is no doubt that the players must be affected by it, but Owen says it is time to move on. Click to continue reading...

Guthrie is a lucky boy

0
The Football Association have announced that despite almost everyone in the game agreeing that Newcastle midfielder Danny Guthrie should receive further punishment, he will, in fact, escape with just the mandatory three match ban. Should Juande Ramos be worried?

1
Not for the first time over the past few seasons, Tottenham have let their expectant fans down with a very poor start to the season. Sitting rock bottom of the Premier League with just one point from four games is a million miles away from where Tottenham fans and Ramos himself, would have expected them to be. Curbishley leaves West Ham

0
Alan Curbishley has resigned as manager of West Ham saying that transfers were being made without his knowledge or input. Such a situation is clearly an untenable position for a manager. New owners for Manchester City

1
The Arabian Business website has announced that Manchester City have been taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment. It says that the deal with current owner Thaksin Shinawatra, himself only in post for just over a year, was agreed on Sunday night. Shinawatra has helped to fund a number of big transfers in the past year but, with his assets currently frozen in Thailand, rumours of his wish to move on had been well publicised. Manchester City joy as the prodigal son returns

0
I wrote on here on Friday that Shaun Wright-Phillips was back where he belongs. Most people felt that his move back to Manchester City was a good move for all concerned. Not many would have predicted that he would score two goals in his first game, a 3-0 win at Sunderland. The look of joy on his face after both goals portrayed all of his feelings of happiness and relief. Click to continue reading...

Robbie Keane signs for Liverpool

0
After six years at Tottenham, Robbie Keane has completed his transfer to Liverpool, the club he supported as a youngster. It is a great move for Keane who will play Champions League football and should be a great move for Liverpool who have bought an experienced and proven striker. The fee of nineteen million pounds is high but in the light of other recent moves, would seem to be about right. Click to continue reading...
