What’s Going On??

OK, let's get this over with. Regardless of the games I cover or stories I need to write, Saturday night is going to be reserved to watch the Cub's game in LA. It will be the first game I watch this year since baseball and I parted ways after the last strike in 1994 (Cub's season ticket money went to World Cup activities that year).

Registration has begun for Ozarks Middle School soccer. If you are interested in playing, please contact one of the following:

Practice Schedule for next week:
Tuesday, August 19th 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Thursday, August 21st 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Saturday, August 23rd 9:00 - 11:00 am
Sunday, August 24th 1:30 - 3:30 pm
* all training will be done at the fields at Ozark Upper Elementary

General Information:
* The middle school soccer program is open to all boys enrolled in Ozark R-VI Schools in grades 6 through 8.

Southwest Missouri Soccer Updates

There has been lots happening, I've had a hard time keeping up quite frankly although I also try to balance how much I put on the site. What do you think? Need more or have I found a good balance? While you ponder that question (share your thoughts here) here's the latest:
Carthage School Board Approves Girls Soccer for 2009

At least 30 girls had signed up to express an interest in the program, and most appeared to be on hand at the board meeting.

High School Girls Soccer Previews

Thought I'd point you to a few more recent season previews. I'll get my first look at a game on Saturday when I attend the Rolla Classic. I'm very excited about this season, there are going to be some serious competitive battles we're going to get to see this year.

Welcome to Spring soccer folks. The girls high school season is scheduled to begin this evening with Jefferson City Helias visiting Lebanon to take on the Yellowjackets. If the weather cooperates. I'm still working on getting schedules into my calendar so I can begin regular coverage but there's one important story to point to this week.
