Vedad Ibisevic: Bundesliga's hottest striker has US roots

Vedad Ibisevic is on fire.

FC Hoffenheim's striker has scored 6 goals and assisted in two more in his club's blazing start in this years season. Hoffenheim lie in second place behind Schalke.

Its a fairy tale start for a perennial second division team that was promoted for the first time in club history to the Bundesliga.

Senior Allison Osmundson netted the game-winning goal at the 61:38 minute mark in the second-half to give Missouri State their second win on the weekend. The Bears improved their record to 5-3-1 on the season.

Fox Soccer Channel has announced their Division I intercollegiate calendar for the upcoming season. It's part of an agreement with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) according to their press release.

Fox Soccer Channel will have live and exclusive coverage of NSCAA College matches featuring the top men's and women's teams from around the nation.

NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma Course June 6-8

The overall objective of the National Goalkeeping Diploma is to explore the tactical components of goalkeeping and the specifics of training and developing goalkeepers. The emphasis of the course is on the tactical role of the goalkeeper within the team framework.

All candidates wishing to take the National Goalkeeping Diploma must have the State and Regional Goalkeeping Diplomas or equivalent (NSCAA/USSF Level I and Level II Diplomas).

Drury University is hosting both an NSCAA Regional and Advanced Regional Diploma course on the Drury campus February 22 – 24, 2008. Assistant Coach Ryan Swan is the NSCAA contact person and site coordinator. He anticipates a good turnout from the local coaches for this event. The Regional Diploma is $60 and the Advanced Regional Diploma is $90.
