While the goals are still fresh in our minds, I'd love to find out what your favorite goal of Euro 2008 was. As quid pro quo, my top five are below:

Afternoon Ticker: Villa tell Barry he can go, Barca eyes Adebayor and Nihat faces lengthy recovery

At long last Liverpool fans can rejoice. Sort of.

In what seems like a mini-me version of the Cristiano Ronaldo debacle, word has come that Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neil will grant Gareth Barry's wish to leave Villa Park.

UEFA Euro 2008: Germany-Turkey Preview

4
Turkey faces Germany in the first semifinal from Basel. While Turkey's Cinderella run has been highlighted by some of the greatest finishes in tournament history, a combination of injuries and yellow cards have sapped the squad. We're now left with a Saturday-after-Thanksgiving Turkey; the kind that's not only been served for dinner, but was used the next day for sandwiches, and now just has a few pieces of meat clinging to the carcass. Five players that caught my eye this week

13
Nihat Kahveci, Villareal
Apparently I'm behind the times on this guy, but I'm glad I finally caught up with the rest of the world. For a midfielder, the Turkish International is a goal-scoring machine. He began his career with Beşiktaş J.K., where he scored 28 goals in 114 matches, then moved on to Spain, signing with Real Sociedad in 2002. Click to continue reading...
