Drug Dealer Arrested at Anderson’s Home; Karmic Gods are not amused

1

It appears that suspected drug dealer Richard Alex da Silva Martins 'Gigi' was arrested in the Porto Alegre home of United midfielder Anderson. While Anderson has been cleared of any wrongdoing, I can't help but feeling that the gods of fate won't look to kindly on anyone who associates with individuals whose character definition includes the words "notorious" and "drug dealer".

Owen...In Advance of the Broken Arm,
pulled calf, ACL tear, hernia op, bout of mumps...

2007/8 Review

It was another season sailing on the sea of mediocrity for Newcastle. Sadly for Toon fans their team made far more noise off the field than on it -- Allerdyce's sacking, Keegan's return, Barton's escapades, the Northern Rock shirt sponsorship, rumours of another ownership change, the mysterious appointment of Dennis Wise. Coventry City vs Newcastle - Match Preview

1
Newcastle United are very likely to be without both strikers Ob Martins and Damien Duff for tonight's 2nd round Carling Cup tie at Coventry City. Newcastle United manager ‘happy to have striker back’ after Ipswich deal falls through: Do you agree?

4
With Michael Owen, Mark Viduka and Obafemi Martins at the club, Newcastle are seemingly blessed with attacking quality, although injury seems to be persistent for the former two players. Roma, Baptista si avvicina (Il Tempo)

0
Barcelona ask for help from a very interesting source

Well done to Cesc Fabregas who was part of Spain's Euro 2008 winning side last night. Although he was rather oddly substituted by loopy manager Luis Aragones Spain were never really troubled by Germany and Fernando Torres' goal was enough to win it. Cesc said afterwards:

This the best day of my life as a football player.

WAY too much Adebayor smoke + Arsecast 80

Happy Friday to you all. I have just awoken from the weirdest of dreams in which I won the Champions League for Arsenal by heading home a slice of onion from a corner. The ref looked, saw the onion in the back of the net and blew up as it was a golden goal. Weird.

Quite a bit to get through so we'll just get going.

Newcastle vs. Arsenal: Match Review

Newcastle came back from an early goal down to win a point against Premier League leaders Arsenal, who failed to capitalize on a game in hand but nonetheless went four points clear of second-placed Manchester United.

I was wrong about Alex Song

1
Maybe I was wrong about Alex Song. And I'm not just saying that because it rhymes. Song was brilliant in the center of defense alongside Philippe Senderos in yesterday's game against Newcastle. The two held out against a strong Newcastle frontline of Shola Ameobi, Obafemi Martins, and Alan Smith; managing to keep a clean sheet (thanks in part to Senderos' clearing off the line). Arsenal vs Newcastle: Match Review

4
Match Preview Arsenal dominated today's games for long spells, despite only managing to put the game away 2-0 in the final 10 minutes. An 83rd minute header from Nicklas Bendtner broke the deadlock, and Neves Denilson put the game beyond doubt with a superbly taken strike from 20 yards out. Arsene Wenger's younger players have once again proved their worth and will go into the fourth round full Click to continue reading...
