Hull City - Team of the season

0
Kings of the jungle On Saturday evening I was part of a drunk, betting syndicate that decided the odds on Hull City to beat Arsenal were just too generous to ignore. £100 later and suddenly we all look like footballing Nostradamus'. Yet none of us seriously expected a return on our alcohol fuelled punt as the sincere pre-match predictions were whether Arsenal would score 5 or 6 or 7. Click to continue reading...

CONCACAF Abroad: Weekend Rewind

2

It was a good week for CONCACAF players in European competitions in mid-week, with Mexican captain Rafael Marquez scoring for Barcelona and Honduran star David Suazo scoring his first goal for Benfica.

Unfortunately, the goal-scoring touch didn't carry over to the weekend.

Kitman: Marlon King scores against Newcastle (in Newcastle shorts)

1
Is this technically an own goal? Marlon King - wearing Newcastle United shorts and socks - fires a penalty past Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given. Hull were stopped from wearing an all grey kit by referee Andre Marriner, who decided there was enough gloom on Tyneside at the moment without a team in all grey playing [. Marlon King Further Dampens Day As Newcasle United Fans Protest

Picture via this link. Before I write, I want to thank everyone for the turnout this weekend for the EPL Talk Chat. You honestly have no idea how happy it made me. Anyways enough of the gushing, back to the meat of this post. Marlon King's double was enough to see off Newcastle United 2-1. I have [. Click to continue reading...

Premiership rules v4.0

1
Liverpool 2-1 Manchester Utd
Hey look, the perennial also-rans in the Premiership scored a nice early-season win. Carlos Tevez had an early goal equalized by an own goal, before Ryan Babel netted the game-winner with a powerful strike in front of the net. Would you believe it was Rafa's first win over United? Tigers Search For Striker Turns Serious

0
Despite some impressive signings already this season, Hull have stumbled upon a real lack of firepower in front of goal, with only Caleb Folan and Dean Windass to lead from the front with only a week to go until the Tigers play their first ever Premier League game.

As expected, many names have been thrown into the rumor mill, with only few been real concrete links with a move to East Yorkshire. Click to continue reading...

One Hull Of A Revolution!

4
Its no hidden fact Hull City face an uphill climb following a remarkable promotion
campaign last season. Many pundits have inevitably wrote The Tigers off already
this season, with many bookmakers saying a bottom placed finish is on the cards.

But Phil Brown has shown strong signals of Hulls intent to consolidate themselves
this season, by making 6 useful acquisitions to improve his squad already this summer,
and an apparent 4 or 5 more in the pipeline. Click to continue reading...

Marlon King has finally left Watford. He hasn't gone to Fulham as previously expected, but he has joined fellow Premier League strugglers Wigan.

He should go with the good wishes of most Watford fans, but there are many who are angry at him for walking away from the club during their promotion push. Click to continue reading...

Wigan for Marlon?

1

Big rumours now circulating that the two clubs looking to buy Marlon King are Wigan and Middlesbrough. Boro would throw in Adam Johnson on loan to the end of the season, but only if they can persuade Stewart Downing to stay. Not sure if Wigan would be offering cash plus player or just cash.

It seems Wigan are favourites. Click to continue reading...

Marlon King

1

Every week Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd sends an e-mail out to Watford fans explaining what's going on both on and off the pitch. I waited for the e-mail with more anticipation than normal this week, knowing that he would explain the position in relation to Marlon King's transfer to Fulham. On that very subject this is what Aidy had to say:

"With regards to Marlon, it's as we were. Click to continue reading...

Marlon King move and Steve McClaren

3
With still absolutely no news officially on the Marlon King move from Watford to Fulham and Collins John back the other way, what are we to make from the fact that Fulham are linked with Daniel Cousin at Rangers and Jari Litmanen.

My guess is that they're not thinking they're going to get Marlon. Click to continue reading...
