Conrad Named to Best XI

Not a surprising announcement today considering his nomination for Best Defender this year, but Wizards captain, Jimmy Conrad has been named to the MLS Best XI. This is Conrad's 4th appearance on the Best XI team. In 2008, Conrad played all 2700 minutes for the Wizards along with teammate Kevin Hartman, they were 2 of 6 players in the league to accomplish that. Click to continue reading...

So some English blokes came to town last week, and word is that their concert was pretty rad. Fifteen Wizards players were on hand to check it out and were even invited backstage for a private meet-and-greet with the band. Thad over at The Back Post attended the end of the season press day at the Wizards training complex. Thad was able to get multiple interviews with different players that are posted up on his blog.

He first got an interview with first year professional Chance Myers.

Someone asked if fans will be able to stick around after the Chicago Fire match and watch as our reserves look to improve upon their 6-1-2 record. The answer is yes, please stay. The Wizards played a friendly today at their Swope Park training complex against the U-23 Arkansas Wizards. Hillcrest Road has a more indepth write up on the game.
