D.C. United officials announced today that PEPCO, a DC-based utility company, would sponsor all of United's evening games as part of a new marketing deal with the team. In exchange for advertising rights to the back of United's jersey, PEPCO will blackout all night games at RFK.

"Fans have been blacking out RFK for years by wearing all black during home playoff games, and now PEPCO adds an additional element to that great tradition," team officials announced today under the glow of flashlights and candles.

Our Euro 2008 Jersey Poll Tournament is now at the semi final stage. Bizarelly our first two quarterfinals mirrored the real tournament exactly, with Portugal taking on Germany and Croatia taking on Turkey.

The winners were Germany and Turkey, so those two jerseys face each other in the semi-final.

According to Buzz Carrick over at 3rdDegree.net, the template for Dallas' jerseys next year were discovered at an Adidas outlet store in Texas. Now the away jersey, which is shown above, doesnt look that bad........and the home jersey doesnt look that bad either. The only real problem I have with the jerseys in MLS is that it looks like every team has a similar template but with different colors, meaning theres no diversity in jersey design within the league.
