Jens Lehman Retires From International Football

Jens Lehman has retired from international football at the age of 38. Despite a succesful display in goal for Germany during Euro 2008 the ex-Arsenal stopper has decided to call it a day. Lehman made 61 appearances for Germany playing his first game against Oman in Febuary 1998. Lehman also looks set to retire from football altogether when his contract at Stuttgart runs out at the end of the coming season. Click to continue reading...

It wasn't the most exciting or goal-filled game of the tournament, but Spain won't mind as they held on for a 1-0 win over Germany for their first European Championship in 44 years. Fernando Torres, who was overshadowed by his strike partner David Villa in the previous rounds,
scored the winning goal for Spain.
