Great news for Chelsea fans - midfielder staying put

1
Is Michael Essien the most underrated player in the Premier League? He certainly deserves more of the credit for Chelsea's recent success, compared to Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and John Terry. The Ghanaian will hope that his being deployed as a right-back has come to an end, now that Bosingwa is on the scene, why [. Click to continue reading...

Inter’s New ‘Kid’ is in Town: The José Mourinho Show Begins…

1
The news almost got lost amidst all the post-Cannavaro injury chaos, but José Mourinho's first official press conference as Inter manager already left its mark in Italy. Showcasing an almost perfect mastery of the Italian language, the ex-Chelsea manager lived up to his reputation; clarity, self-confidence, and witty repartee were all present in the 45 minutes Mourinho [. The New Chelsea Manager? …really?

2
Well, well, well...  LONDON (AFP) - Chelsea have agreed a deal with Carlo Ancelotti's representatives for the AC Milan coach to take charge at Stamford Bridge, according to reports on Tuesday. The Champions League finalists have stepped up their search for a successor to Avram Grant, who was sacked last month, and Sky Sports News claimed talks [. Click to continue reading...

Blackburn boss to join Manchester City and raid his old club?

0
There's a pattern emerging here. Jose Mourinho leaves Chelsea, waits in the wilderness for a bit, then signs up for Inter. All of a sudden, speculation is rife that Lampard, Drogba, Essien, Cole, Terry and Cech (but not Sheva) could all be joining the arrogant loudmouth at his new club. Next thing, Mark Hughes is [. Ex-Inter coach now favourite to manage Chelsea

0
Roberto Mancini's sacking as Inter manager may have come as a shock, but his unemployed status may not be lasting very long according to the bookmakers. The Italian is strong favourite to become the next manager of Chelsea, with his agent hinting that his client would naturally be interested in the vacancy if there was [. Mourinho will return to Chelsea…

2
...To nab all their players! The Times reports that the slick Portugeezer will be named manager of Inter Milan shortly, and after he rattles off some choice egg-related epigrams to the bemused Italian press, he will no doubt begin the task of bringing in some new faces to boost Inter's already obese squad. Wantaway Arsenal winger claims Premier League is the best

Not that it's going to stop him leaving the Emirates if he and his agent have their way. The speculation surrounding the new Blues manager intensifies every day, none more so on Wednesday with the news that Roberto Mancini had been sacked by Inter. The Liverpool and Everton groundshare dream is alive again! Are you happy or enraged?

The fans may not like the sound of it, but the Daily Telegraph are reporting that Merseyside neighbours Liverpool and Everton might be sharing a football ground in the not-so-distant future. Will Manchester City coach be next Chelsea manager?

1
Frank Rijkaard is the bookmakers favourite to become the next Blues boss, although there are plenty of lively contenders to replace Avram Grant. Whether or not the former Barca coach wants an immediate return to management is open to question, while it's also questionable as to whether Roman Abramovich will want to appoint Roberto Mancini. Roma 2-1 Inter: Giallorossi’s Bittersweet Revenge, the Cup Goes to Rome (Coppa Italia FINAL)

3
In an exciting Roma-Inter Coppa Italia final (reaching its 4th match-up in consecutive years), the Giallorossi grabbed their season consolation prize. I say "bittersweet" in the title and that deserves some explanation. Sweet firstly, because beating one's big rivals is always great, especially after a season-long head-to-head race in the Serie A and especially if those rivals are Inter. Inter win Scudetto again but lose Copa Italia (again)

3
I went right down to the wire as Inter wasted chance after chance to seal their third Scudetto in as many years but on the last match day, Ibrahimovic came out to grab a brace against Parma and kick off the celebrations. Just enough to keep Roma in second but they couldn't go the double [...]SHARETHIS. Click to continue reading...

Italy marches on in Toulon and Inter-Roma once again tomorrow

1

Yes, tomorrow, Inter and Roma do battle yet again, this time in the Coppa Italia final at the Stadio Olimpico. This is the 4th year in a row that the final will be Roma-Inter, however this year because of the new format the final is only one leg, not two, and is played at a neutral venue. (Well it was supposed to be a neutral venue, but since Roma got to the final they are playing at home).

Will Chelsea midfielder leave if team beat Manchester United in Moscow?

1
Let's face it, when Frank Lampard first signed for Chelsea, he was a bit rubbish. The midfielder was fond of the square pass rather than an incisive one and he managed just seven goals in all competitions during his first season. Fast forward to this season and he's found his name on the scoresheet twenty-one [. Click to continue reading...

Roque rollin’ to Arsenal, but at what cost?

What with the mass exodus and all going on over at the Emirates, you'd think that the entire world was coming to an end around Arsène Wenger.
