Mark Hughes the right manager for Manchester City?

0
I'm beginning to get the feeling that Man City are going to regret letting Sven Goran Eriksson go. He is a manager that has proven time and again at club level that he can handle a club that is going in the direction that Man City are with their newly found money and big name additions that we are all expecting over the course of the next year. Gilberto Backs Prem New-Boy To Adapt Quickly

0
Ex-Arsenal midfielder Gilberto feels Robinho will adapt to the Premier League quickly - and the only problem he will face at Manchester City is the language barrier. City boss Mark Hughes arguably pulled off the summers biggest coup on Monday after sealing a big-money deal for the 24-year-old Brazilian. Click to continue reading...

Is Roy Keane playing with fire at Sunderland?

0
Another great article from former Republic of Ireland forward Tony Cascarino, where Tony questions the recent signings that Keane has made including Pascal Chimbonda, El Hadji Diouf, and Djibril Cisse. I disagree with Tony on his views though as I think Roy is doing the best he can within his resources to bring in players that can help make Sunderland a respectable team within the Premier League and keep them out of a relegation battle. Can Blackburn manager keep hold of star players?

0
Paul Ince has signalled his intention to retain the services of the best players in the Blackburn squad, despite David Bentley insisting that he wants to play in Europe next season. Sky Sports report that the new Rovers boss is dead set against any player leaving Ewood Park, especially the duo who were shining lights [. Click to continue reading...

Solskjaer becomes Manchester United manager

3
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer entered Manchester United folklore when he scored the injury-time winning goal to clinch the 1999 Champions League for the Red Devils. However, the Norwegian doesn't just want to be remembered for his playing days at Old Trafford, with the Daily Mail reporting that the striker has grand designs on Sir Alex Ferguson's [. Blackburn Rovers set to interview second candidate - and it’s not Paul Ince

2
Who will replace Mark Hughes as Blackburn manager? They will certainly have a tough job on their hands keeping the nucleus of the current squad together, in addition to bringing in fresh talent to try and ensure a top half Premier League finish is realised once again. Sam Allardyce has already thrown his hat into [. Click to continue reading...

Man United to sign Amy Winehouse, Ronaldo off to Chelsea, the silly season reaches new depths

10
If you believe everything you read, then Chelsea are going to play with 11 strikers come the start of the season. The latest player to be linked to Stamford Bridge is Cristiano Ronaldo. No, I don't believe it either. The transfer merry-go-round and the silly season in the national press is as inevitable as a [. Click to continue reading...

Ince hails ‘fantastic’ Blackburn - but will ex-Newcastle boss replace Hughes?

0
It's entirely possible that Sam Allardyce is in pole position to become the next manager of Blackburn Rovers. After all, he has been interviewed at Ewood Park about the position and has demonstrated his prowess in the Premier League with Bolton. Some might argue he might have done well at St James' Park if he'd [. Click to continue reading...

Man United set to lose another prize asset?

0
Cristiano Ronaldo might not be the only Portugeezer leaving Old Trafford this summer. The Daily Telegraph reports that Carlos Queiroz, the Manchester United assistant manager, is top of Portugal's list to replace Phil Scolari after the latter decided to join Chelsea from 1st July. How ironic it would be if Chelsea's decision-making had a direct [. Click to continue reading...

Blackburn close to appointing Hughes replacement - Shearer the favourite

0
Well, maybe not the fans favourite but he's currently at the top of bookmakers' lists. While Blackburn might talk of not rushing to appoint a replacement for Mark Hughes, the truth is that they can't leave it very long at all, especially with player contracts to sort out and potential new signings to be lined [. Man City defender set to spurn Tottenham and stay at club: Fantastic news for Hughes!

1
So aside from the news that Ronaldinho is set to...ahem...join Man City for £200,000 a week (does anyone else think this story is absolute bollocks?), the best news coming out of the Eastlands today is the report that City defender Richard Dunne no longer wants to be mates with Jonathan Woodgate. The Manchester Evening News reports [. Click to continue reading...

Sparky: "United never crossed my mind."

2
Now why do I find that difficult to believe? Mark Hughes is one of the most intelligent men in football. I am positive that the option of holding on for the manager's seat at Manchester United was one that he mulled over and over before accepting the offer from across the city. So why this choice now? Keano's plans flushed.

Poor Roy. Trying to enjoy a stress-free week with the Kiwi egg chasers, trying his damnedest to forget that his best striker is crocked, and now this. From The Northern Echo: Mark Hughes' appointment as Manchester City manager yesterday looks set to end any Sunderland move to sign midfielder Stephen Ireland. Man City give Man Utd a chance

Man City beat Man Utd twice in the 07/08 season, What are  the chances of that happening next season now there is an ex red in charge at Manchester City? Useless Hughes (unless his team beats Manchester United) moaning at the ref (see picture "read more"), surely not! Image details: GALATASARY V MAN UTD served by picapp. Click to continue reading...

Sparky signs for Man City

Life in Manchester is going to become very interesting. Will Hughes go back to Blackburn with City's cheque book in search of Bentley and Santa Cruz? How will SAF react to his former warrior now his closest rival? Click to continue reading...

Roving?

0

Blackburn Rovers have given permission to City to approach Mark Hughes for the now-vacant position of manager at the Wastelands. (Bye, Sven, have lotsa fun with those Mexican senoritas). My considerable respect (verging on adoration when he was my favourite player for United) for Sparky would diminish if he made this move.
