Which Premier League Footballer Are You?

6
When you're watching the Premier League, which footballer do you identify with the most? In life, are you a hard-nosed John Terry, a metrosexual David Bentley, a wear-your-heart-on-your-sleeve Steven Gerrard, or perhaps a John Carew who has a penchant for lap dances? As a child, I identified with Kenny Dalglish when he played at Liverpool. Click to continue reading...

10 Things We Learned in the Premier League

1. We're going to need more free alcohol Bolton gave away 1,000 pints of pre-match beer to try and encourage some more vocal home support against Blackburn. Nice idea, but it takes more alcohol than that to make a drab goalless draw look entertaining. Unless one lucky fan got their hands on all one thousand pints [. Click to continue reading...

Gareth Bale Signs New Contract… And Other Pointless News

1
Gareth Bale has signed a new contract... meaning he will be staying at Tottenham Hotspur for one more year. He will be tied to the club until 2012 now, instead of 2011. Although we don't really see the point in this 1 year extension, maybe it was to cover some of the previous clauses in [...] Click to continue reading...

Not A Total Bale-out

2
I'm on vacation right now but not loving it. I caught a stomach flu from my little nephew. Right now I can't keep any food down and I'm pretty sure while I was napping some hooligans beat me with a sack of nickels. At least that's how I feel right now.

Horsfield's little piece over at Sportingo caught my eye.

Taking a few risks this week, but I should be fine. Hopefully. Same old Yahoo!UK only rules apply, it's your responsibility if you so choose to follow my picks to make sure the players don't do a Leroy Lita and pull up with a leg injury while in bed.

Tottenham 1, Arsenal 3: a couple of sick goals

18
You can see Gareth Bale's nasty free kick here. The last two goals by Fabregas and Adebayor are just ridiculous.

The first one is a header by Adebayor from a Fabregas free kick.

Fabregas' stunner.

Not to be undone, Adebayor with a superb blast.

2008 Euro qualifying Group D match previews: Not much different than Group C

1
San Marino vs. Czech Republic, 1315 EST
Olimpico - Serravalle

San Marino has a grand total of zero points and a goal difference of -36 in the group. In other words, it's 'pad the stats' time for Jan Koller, Milan Baroš, Tomáš Rosický, and Stanislav Vlček. I'm surprised Pavel Nedvěd didn't come out of retirement for this one. With Petr Čech or even Martin Vaniak in goal and Marek Jankulovski, Tomáš Ujfaluši, and David Rozehnal among others in front of one of them, San Marino has absolutely no chance of scoring here. Spurs Swoop For Kaboul

1

Tottenham have announced the signing of France Under-21 defender Younes Kaboul from Auxerre.

Spurs fought off competition elsewhere in Europe to sign the 21-year-old, who was rated at around £8million.

I don't think anyone would be surprised if Kaboul is a started sooner rather than later. Certainly at the beginning of the season he will be needed to partner Dawson as King recovers. Click to continue reading...
