Just got word that a deal we've been waiting on for a little while now is finally complete. New England has officially added Costa Rican defender Gabriel Badilla to their roster. Revolution Completes Allocation Trade with Toronto

Revolution Press Release:
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution today announced that the team has received allocation money and the number 13 position in the 2008 allocation table from Toronto FC in exchange for the Revs' number two position in the 2008 allocation table.

The Revolution had originally acquired its current position in the MLS allocation table on Aug.

Eddie Lewis and Cory Gibbs are set to come back to the Major League Soccer.

SBI has learned that the Los Angeles Galaxy are set to acquire the rights to Lewis after passing on Gibbs with the top spot in the MLS Allocation order.

The rich get richer. That's they way it might appear if this deal comes to fruition. Reports out of Costa Rica and Colombia seem to indicate that the Costa Rica national team defender has played his last game for Deportivo Saprissa and is headed north to join the Revs.

According to this report, and this one on MLSNet.com 23 year old, Costa Rican national team and Deportivo Saprissa defender Gabriel Badilla might be trading in his Saprissa purple for New England navy.
