En Tecos, lo único que se hace es hablar.

On Towards the Season …

1

Being a Valencia fan isn't easy.

We've all known that for some time now, since the good ol' days when QQ Sanchez Flores and Amedeo Carboni feuded over everything from transfers to who'd sit next to Juan Soler at official dinners.

But those days of yore seem far away, what with the comings and goings at the club this past year.

Soler is Gone and Other Tidbits

0

The nightmare is over. The King is dead.

Former Valencia president Juan Soler (pictured with dapper dresser and former coach QQ Sanchez Flores) made it official last night. He's officially stripped himself of any involvement with the football club.

HOORAY!

3

The non-stop running of Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan was the subject of this Olympic preview story.

And UCLA goalkeeper Brian Perk and Chivas USA midfielder Jorge "Sueno" Flores of Anaheim were named to the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team that will play in the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland beginning Monday.

Freddy Adu loaned to Monaco

0
A great move for Freddy Adu as he is loaned to Monaco from Benfica for a season. I'm sure if things work out its quite possible that Freddy's loan could be made into a permanent move or could lead to another club purchasing him. It just didn't seem like Freddy was truly wanted by the Benfica coach Quique Flores' and he's much better off playing for Monaco in the French league hopefully as a starter then sitting on the bench for the season at Benfica. Draw on NY

1

Chivas USA managed to draw at home against the New York Red Bulls.

Nick Green comments on the game here. He's a little rough on the Red and White, but somewhat justified.

The Sideline Views included a clip of Preki's post game for you to hear.

The game was tough, and a draw was probably fair.

Just weeks Pablo Aimar after looked ready to put pen to paper on a deal three-year deal to join Quique Sánchez Flores at Benfica, the former Real Zaragoza midfielder appears to be getting cold feet. Balboa to Benfica

2
Real Madrid midfielder Javier Balboa has signed for Benfica for the next 4 seasons in a deal reportedly worth around 6 million euros. The 23 year old is the first in the 2007-2008 squad to leave the club this summer (Cassano did leave for Sampdoria last May, but he had already spent a season there on loan) and he joins former Real Madrid player Quique Sánchez Flores's new project at the Click to continue reading...

La Bufadora Rankings (June 16)

3
1. New England (8-3-2). A healthy Taylor Twellman would make this team downright scary.
2. LA Galaxy (6-4-2). Six goals without Landon Donovan.
3. Toronto (6-4-2). An impressive 17 points at BMO Field.
4. Chicago (6-4-1). Suddenly offense is sputtering. Can McBride save the day?

A dream is a wish

0
Your heart makes, when you're fast asleep.
In dreams you can lose your heartache,
Whatever you wish for, will be
Have faith in your dreams and someday,
A rainbow will come shining through
No matter how your heart is grieving,
If you keep on believing,
The dream that you wish, will come true. Click to continue reading...

Where's the goal?

1
After reviewing the goals in MLS for the Week 10 Spotlight, I pretty much came to a simple conclusion that Jorge Flores' goal against Columbus was the best of the week. His left-footed volley was something else, and in case you didn't see it here it is.

It's a pretty good goal, but I thought maybe I was influenced because I saw it live. Click to continue reading...

Crisis at Valencia?

1
Before the season had started, many had tipped Valencia to challenge for the Premera Liga title, or at the least close the gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona and themselves.

A string of highly publicised arguments last season between the manager, Quique Flores and sporting director, Amedeo Carboni, was seen as a key factor as to why Valencia only finished in fourth position in La Liga last season and so Carboni was sacked after it was decided that there was only enough room at the club for one or the other.
