Tonight, D.C. United faces the third and final member of Group A in Cruz Azul. The Mexican side lost its first Champions League game 0-2 to CD Marathon, before rebounding with a 4-0 over Deportivo Saprissa last week.

United is in dire need of a win this evening after dropping its first two games in the international tournament, but from all reports it looks like Tom Soehn will rest a few regular starters tonight with an eye on Saturday's important game versus Chivas USA.

The team sat in well through the first half and absorbed a few breakthrough chances by Marathon. It also looked as though the team missed out on a penalty call midway through the first half when Luciano Emilio was taken down by the Marathon's goalkeeper. Then, in the second half the guys seemed to gain a little control of the game and saw two decent opportunities for Boyzz Khumalo.

D.C. United faces Club Deportivo Marathon for the first time in its history tonight at Estadio Olimpico in a game that will be broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel (10 p.m. ET). The Black-and-Red hope to rebound from a Group A opening 2-0 loss to Deportivo Saprissa last week at RFK Stadium. Champions League play resumed yesterday with three goups in action. In United's Group A, Cruz Azul thrashed Saprissa 4-0. The Black-and-Red will look to earn points tonight on the road against Honduran side Marathon. The game will be shown live on Fox Soccer Channel at 10 p.m. ET.

The other MLS representative, the Houston Dynamo, played a scoreless draw with Panama's San Francisco to earn a road point.
