Blanco tribute

0
I spent quite a bit of time last night, searching the web for relevant information on Cuauhtemoc Blanco. I fell asleep mid-story and woke up early this morning to finish it, early as in before 5.

So read it!

It's a bit of a tribute to Cuauhtemoc Blanco for SI.com.

The best part of the story I think is the links to various video clips. Click to continue reading...

What to do with the 2009 MLS Schedule

10
I see that Garber and the gang over at MLS are finally going act on the continued shambles that is the MLS schedule as it relates to international competition, both club and country. I don't really like the idea of the split schedule, though I see its merits, especially with the Gold and Confederations Cup [. Click to continue reading...

What the future has in store

0
Sunday was a day full of soccer as Euro 2008 action in the morning gave way to US-Argentina and a smattering of Mexico-Peru. With World Cup qualifying about to start out here, I wondered how the US would look during qualifying both this year and next and then in 2010 leading up to the World Cup.

As I'd just watched Croatia-Austria earlier in the day, I wondered about a possible World Cup group. Click to continue reading...
