MLS Team MVPs

The full list of each team's most valuable player award from 1996-2008 are below. Each Major League Soccer team gives out its own set of team awards at the end of each season, usually announced at the last home regular season game. Not to be confused with the leaguewide awards.

While the presidential election remains a hot topic today, there is another upcoming election that should have American soccer fans extremely interested. 25 former players are on the ballot for induction into the 2009 National Soccer Hall of Fame class and the list is loaded with MLS and U.

13 Jahre nach seiner legendären Parade im Spiel England gegen Kolumbien im Londoner Wembley-Stadion wiederholte René Higuita seinen berühmten Scorpion-Kick letzten Sonnabend nach einem Freistoß seines früheren Nationalmannschaftskollegen Carlos Valderrama. Den Anlass bot das Abschiedsspiel von Kolumbiens bestem Ligatorschützen Víctor Aristizábal.

The case for Joe-Max Moore

It might take a miracle for Joe-Max Moore to make the list of inductees for this year's National Soccer Hall of Fame enshrinement.

Although he gained an impressive 48.2% of the vote during his first year on the ballot, Moore will be hard-pressed to make the cut this year. Stacked against fellow repeat nominees Marco Etcheverry and Carlos Valderrama and newcomers Preki and Ernie Stewart, Moore will likely have to wait at least another year before becoming the second Revolution player to be fitted for a scarlet jacket (Alexi Lalas being the first in 2006).
