Springfield's professional soccer player, Jack Jewsbury, will be holding a pair of clinics in the coming month. The first is this Saturday, November 29th and a portion of the funds will be shared with Lake Country Soccer. More information is available on the Lake Country Soccer website. There will also be a three day session after Christmas, limited spots are available so register early to guarantee a spot.

OK, let's get this over with. Regardless of the games I cover or stories I need to write, Saturday night is going to be reserved to watch the Cub's game in LA. It will be the first game I watch this year since baseball and I parted ways after the last strike in 1994 (Cub's season ticket money went to World Cup activities that year).

U.S. Soccer???s Coaching Department will conduct a coaching symposium from Sept. 9-10 in conjunction with the U.S. Men???s National Team 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Trinidad & Tobago in Chicago. Members of the U.S. MNT coaching staff will present at the symposium.

Magic Soccer Summer will be having their last two weeks of summer camp from Monday July the 14th to Thursday July the 17th ages of 7 to 9. Next week, Monday July the 21st to Thursday July the 24th the club will work with children ages 10 to 14.

The Magic Goal is to master foot skills and to develop "quick feet" and a "soft first touch" as the foundation of our "techniques" by teaching sport skills in fun ways.
