Pre Season Is In Full Flow

Pre-season started in earnest last night with a whole host of games being played to enable our finest footballers to get over their Summer rest and get them hamstrings stretching again.


There was also a full programme of friendly matches today as well as the Intertoto Cup it was a full day of footie action.

Newcastle is the unhappiest city in the UK, according to a study quoted today in the Sunderland Echo. Nearly half the people in the city are unhappy about their financial situation, a third are demoralised by work, and a quarter are dissatisfied with their social lives.

If you'd have been a fly-on-the-wall of my SU bar on Wednesday night you would have heard me declaring that the story would be entirely different if Jim Magilton were England manager.
