Matildas into Final

Canberra United Amy Chapman opened the scoring for the Matildas as they romped into the ASEAN final yesterday.

The Westfield Matildas advanced to the final of the ASEAN Football Federation Women's Championships tonight with a thrilling 5-1 win over Myanmar (Burma) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam - although it is a victory that comes at a cost with two players suspended for the Final against Vietnam on Monday. The Matildas have bounced back to win its second game at the Peace Cup, a 3-0 result over Italy being played in Suwon, South Korea.

Canberra's Amy Chapman scored her first goal for the Matildas in their 2-1 win over New Zealand this afternoon on the Sunshine Coast.

Canberrans played key roles in Australia's 2-0 win over New Zealand yesterday.

Lydia Williams in goal, Caitlin Munoz upfront and Sally Shipard in defence for the first time all played their part. Amy Chapman also came on as sub in the 60th minute.
