Two sources show Victor Sikora, formally of Ajax, is in Dallas and will start training this week. No word if it's a trial or just in town and needs the work outs. Sikora plays for NAC Breda on loan from Ajax Amsterdam.

If you know anything more about the winger's intentions please drop us a line. Click to continue reading...

Ajax's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who scores goals in his sleep, is a well-known target of Manchester United, and Huntelaar says that United are [. Click to continue reading...

Something New, Something Russian

0
Until Russia's lengthy dismantling exercise in Basle on Friday, Holland's blitz on the proclaimed 'Group of Death' had been Euro 2008's foremost point for exclamation. To English audiences in particular, the proposition of a Dutch rebirth after twenty years of bungled failure was a thrilling and unexpected boon to a competition tainted by the absence [. The best forwards in the world under 23 (with videos)

I tried to stay outside of the EPL, so for instance, Rooney, wasn't included.

Jefferson Farfán, PSV Eindhoven
The 22-year-old Peruvian striker Jefferson Farfán has quite an impressive goal-scoring record at PSV Eindhoven with 70 goals in 126 total appearances and with the losses of Alex, Cocu, and Arouna Koné, he's going to have to continue that form if defending champion PSV is going to contend in the Eredivisie this year. Babel thanks Rafa, receives praise from Dalglish

7
In an endearing piece in the Daily Mail today, summer acquisition and winger extraordinaire, Ryan Babel, has revealed that he owes a great deal of gratitude to Rafa Benitez for his tremendous start with the club.

Apparently when Babel was at Ajax, he would let outside interference (a.k.a the crowd) affect his play, so much so that he would become 'depressed on the pitch'. Click to continue reading...

Forgotten US Football Legends: Eddy Hamel

12
Eddy Hamel's life story is one of triumph that ultimately ended in tragedy. Born in New York in 1902, he moved to Holland at some point during his teenage years. Not much is known about him until he emerged as a left winger for Ajax in 1922. Amazingly enough though, he was the first player of Jewish descent to play for a club that was feverishly followed by the large, thriving Jewish community of Amsterdam. Click to continue reading...

Holy crap, SK Slavia Praha is going to the Champions League!

1
Wow, what a match. I rarely give keepers Man of the Match awards, but in this case, Slavia Praha's Martin Vaniak deserves it, even edging out the brace from his teammate and captain Stanislav Vlček. Vaniak was simply unbeatable and made a stop on Huntelaar that can only be described as ridiculous.

In the 73rd minute, still at a 1-1 stalemate, Luis Suarez sent a cross to Huntelaar who headed with all his might towards the bottom right corner of the goal. Click to continue reading...

Who's next?

6
With Adu bidding adieu to Real Salt Lake and the MLS for Benfica and Sal Zizzo shunning Major League Soccer all together and signing with Hannover 96 before he can get trapped in the MLS slave trade, who will be the next US player to change continents?

Danny Szetela? The Columbus Crew midfielder may be gaining a world of knowledge by playing along side Guillermo Barros Schelotto, but other than that, he's wasting his time and talents. Click to continue reading...
