Matt Pickens (Missouri State 2003) is with Queens Park Rangers in the English First Division. According to Soccer by Ives, he's out for the season with a separated shoulder.

"Ya, I am an MLS Player now" is the response I got from Lance when I asked him to explain what he meant when he wrote "also, I signed my developmental contract this morning" at the end of an update on their games this week. How understated is that? So Major League Soccer once again has a Missouri State Bear goalkeeper in its ranks (Picken's is in England now) with Lance agreeing to terms with Chivas.

25 year old American goalkeeper Matt Pickens is on his way out of Major League Soccer. The former Chicago Fire goalkeeper is headed to Queens Park Rangers for the rest of the English season - his contract is only good until June 2008.

Pickens played 40 games in 4 seasons during his Major League Soccer career for the Chicago Fire.

According to a source with Chicago Fire, and courtesy of Luis Arroyave's Red Card Blog, 25 year old goalkeeper has signed with Queens Park Rangers of England's Championship. On January 17th, it was announced that Matt was on trial at English Championship side Norwich City.

Sheffield Wednesday are finally off the mark with a 1-0 result over Hull. Any joy will have to be restrained, however, as the Owls still sit bottom of the Fizzy Soda Pop League on goal difference.
God, I just love to watch Chelsea implode. Not that I have any sort of historical hatred of the club or anything. Matter of fact, my main concern with them is now gone, as I was for so long frustrated by Mourinho's negative tactics when blessed with the budget to field a wonder-team that could produce fantastic entertainment.
