Fabio Grosso is back in training and is expected to play against Lille on October 18th. This is good news because if he does well, he play against Steaua a few days later.

Apparently Ronaldinho likes short shorts. This photo was taken during Milan's 3-1 UEFA Cup win over FC Zurich yesterday. Good win for Milan (finally) but not a happy day for 'Dinho. Reading such an illustrious name of AC Milan in the UEFA Cup clearly signals a time of underachievement and 'crisis', but even as the situation stands it has to be said that the task of pushing aside Zurich is a simple job. The UEFA Cup can act as a relief for Carlo Ancelotti as it temporarily removes the domestic pressures which are currently exposing him.

Newcastle are chasing Switzerland midfielder Gokhan Inler according to reports in the Daily Mirror today.
Inler is currently playing for Udinese after joining in 2007 from FC Zurich. The 24 year old has now established himself as a first team regular for teh Serie A outfit. He has also made 15 appearances for the Swiss national side.

Liverpool FC's Latest Bid For Gareth Barry Rejected

Gareth Barry's Aston Villa nightmare deepened last night when the Midlands club claimed they had rejected a new bid from Liverpool.

But Villa insist the offer from Anfield was not the £17million one widely reported earlier yesterday.

Liverpool also denied they had made a £17m bid, and insisted it was "not their final offer".

Who knew the Swiss would bring the apokalypse?
