Mario cheers.... With all that KJH humbug happening and our top teams performing so poorly, it's
easy to oversee that a couple of teams are actually doing insane things in Europe! Mario Been's NEC
beat Michael Laudrup's Spartak Moscow in Moscow, 1-2, and now has the future (next round) in their
own

Today, the AD broke the news that, despite what Van Basten lamented, Ajax took the initiative to
sell Hunter this winter. Last Summer, the alledged 40 Million euros offering by "someone
representing Manchester City" was a bit vague. Also, Ajax didn't want to deal with vague
agents and intermediaries.

Goose & Finnster having a laugh... I wanted to post this many moons ago, already... But I didn't...
Didn't want to rub it in too much (others are lurking here, you know). And I didn't want to blow my
own trumpet too much... But... Fair is Fair... The Netherlands Blog rules for months already. I

AC Milan were knocked out of the Coppa Italia today by Lazio. Sheva scored first for Milan
(Yeah, I had to read that twice, too. It isn't a typo), but Zarate and Pandev both scored towards
the end to win it for Lazio. Milan played with 10 men for the last 20 minutes or so as Emerson was
sent off, which didn't help their chances either.

According to the Spanish media, KJH will earn 3.6 million euro per season. Not bad. He will surely

Marco van Basten and Ajax chair Uri Coronel quickly started up Teletekst on their tv set. There it
was. KJH had finalized his negotiations with Madrid and is set to move to Real for 20 Million
euros. Former right winger and Mr Ajax Sjaak Swart read it too: "Hey Uri, make

Rensenbrink hits the post in the dying seconds... It's easy in our memories to jump from the WC1974
(Rinus Michels, Total football, Johan Cruyff, Clockwork Orange, etc) to jump to the WC1978 (Ernst
Happel, Arie Haan, Rob Rensenbrink) but we shouldn't forget the EC1976 in between. Holland would go
and snatch

Five teams still have a chance to win the Polish championship. It's especially surprising since
last season Wisla dominated the competition and were the clear winners. This season, however, looks
entirely different. What's the reason behind Wisla's poor form?

Feyenoord lost another player last Sunday, in the game versus Vitesse. Oranje international Tim De

a players grabs onto his thigh," said coach Gertjan Verbeek, who witnessed Landzaat, De
Guzman, Mols, Slory and Bruins move into the

We have been focusing a lot on Real Madrid in the last months. And justified too, with five
exciting Dutch players wearing the royal white. But let's not forget our connection with Barca for
a moment. True, there are no Dutch players involved, but Pep Guardiola does work on the

Oranje had qualified for the WC1974 finals. Cruyff and Neeskens beat Brazil and West Germany - not
playing a very impressive tournament so far - was to be the next nudge on the ...eh...football
shoe. German tabloid Bild wanted to milk the situation. They had a plan. They knew where the Dutch
