Michael Owen got on the score sheet yesterday for only the third time this season in Newcastle's
1-1 draw with Middlesbrough. This served as a timely reminder to Fabio Capello that he still knows
where the goal is.
An interesting fact is that all three of Owen's goals this season have been headers from crosses.

It seems now that Jermaine Defoe has only been signed on loan by Portsmouth, but that they hope to
ratify the full transfer, along with the Benjani move to Manchester City, this week.
The move was announced by all and sundry as a permanent transfer for around £9 million. This
wasn't denied by Tottenham or Portsmouth, but has now been admitted.

the team their first win for three months. Bullard, who has missed sixteen months with a knee
injury, was absolutely superb throughout the game and must have caught the eye of Mr Capello.
