Trouble in Colorado

5
A post by Quinn 33 on Bigsoccer reveals the deep trouble Colorado's supporters' section is in, apparently due to heavyhanded security and a front office who could care less. So here is what happened in Sunday...we were trying out best to do our thing (drums, streamers, etc). A smoke bomb was lit in our section (and was shown on both the jumbo screen and the TV broadcast), this naturally alerted Click to continue reading...

Trouble in Columbus, How Does Security Secure you?

5
By now, you'll have heard of the disappointing news that Crew and West Ham fans clashed in Columbus at half-time and after the game this weekend, apparently instigated when a group of supposed Hammers attempted to infiltrate the designated Columbus supporters' section. I'm not here to condemn supporters, except the idiots who instigated trouble in a mindless Green Street parody. Click to continue reading...

Fannies and Dead Mullets: Soccer in Florida

8
Florida has traditionally been where old people and MLS franchises have gone to die. Since MLS contracted its two Florida franchises in 2002, the Miami Fusion and Tamp Bay Mutiny, many have expressed the view that soccer is done for a while in that state. After all, the two teams both ranked in the bottom three for all-time attendance at the time of their demises. Click to continue reading...

And We're Back

6
MLS Underground is back, and under new management. This is Tom from a blog called Pitch Invasion, and we've been asked by the previous, much missed management to keep this ball rolling. We've decided to do this as the ethos of this blog matches our view on how fans need to approach soccer. During the 90 minutes of play, there's no friendship, just pure rivalry. By Now You've Noticed a Lack of Posts

0
Here's the short and simple: I am strapped for time with 3 other blogs, a real job and family. However I still think that a supporters-centric blog is something refreshing and needs. If any member of one of the supporters groups is interested in carrying this torch, send me an email. SF Click to continue reading...

What Don Garber Wants from Supporters

5
What do foreign leagues have that M.L.S. wants? "The flags and the songs and hopefully not the flares." Don Garber on M.L.S. Supporters Get over to the New York Times' Goal blog for some interesting audio excerpts from an early morning sit down with Commissioner Don Garber and DeputyComm. Ivan Gazidis. Video: ESPN Video Highlights TFC Supporters

0
Well I asked and I received. The odd thing is that I received it from ESPN, who randomly put together this subtitled video of basic Toronto FC chants. Call it "TFC for Dummies" or "Red Patch for Beginners" if you will, but it's kinda cool that ESPN --who get accused of hating soccer on a daily basis-- spent the time to highlight some work that a supporters group does week in and week out to Click to continue reading...

ESC Video and an Open Door

1
Hey guys. Sorry for the lack of post this past week but it seems that now that the season has started we're all too busy actually doing the stuff that supporters do to talk about the stuff that supporters do. Funny how that works. So once again I'd like to put the call out there to anyone who wants to contribute in any way they seem fit. Click to continue reading...

PitchInvasion Sounds Off on The Sounders Movement

1
Ahead of MLS Seattle's name unveiling this week, be sure to read PitchInvasion's take on the whole thing. Some times you should be careful what you wish for as in this case where the new team's owners said they want the fans to name the team but their's a good chance that the fans don't want to rename the team. Foul Territory Becomes Verbal Abuse Zone in KC

3
Just a quickie post that I have to get out before tomorrow's match in KC. The photo above was snapped earlier this week at the Wizards new sublet on the Kansas side of the river. Check out how close the seats are to the back of the goal; if you're an opposing keeper may I suggest that you A) invest in some moderately-priced, noise-canceling ear plugs and B) learn to use sign language to Click to continue reading...

Toronto Fans Plan Flyover of Crew Stadium

2
The Toronto opening day road trip just keeps getting better. As if 2,000 away supporters isn't enough mud in the eyes of the Columbus faithful, they're renting one of those planes with a banner trailing it. Any suggestions for a message? Do you worst in the comments. Click to continue reading...
