Denilson was once touted as the young bright hope of Brazilian soccer, and even compared to the great Pele. Blessed with quick feet and a dribbling style that resembled many Brazilian legends that had gone before him, Denilson was a hot property in Europe before landing in Spain. Once there, he suffered the same plight that befell many other young Brazilian players before him that came with the 'next Pele' nametag.
