Wembley Re-opens
Wembley finally re-opened its doors yesterday, holding its first competitive match since the now
famous defeat to Germany in 2000. Almost seven years and £800m later, the 'Home of English
Football' has been transformed. I was at the stadium yesterday, to witness the historic event,
England's U21 vs. Italy's U21's.
After somehow conquering the maze that is the London's tube service, we arrived at Wembley Park
station with around 45 minutes to spare before kick-off.
