Fergie praises Styles .... sure why wouldn't he?

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has today praised referee Rob Styles. United profited from an extremely poor penalty decision from Styles during their 2-0 win against Bolton at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Everton appeal Cahill red card

Everton have today lodged an appeal to the FA over the dismissal of Tim Cahill during Saturday's derby game against Liverpool. The Australian midfielder was shown a straight red card, for what looked like a pretty innocuous challenge on Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

Were Spurs the club who had £15 million bid rejected for French midfielder?

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has today admitted he was offered £15 million for midfielder Lassana Diarra on transfer deadline day, but he turned it down. The French midfielder has become an integral part of the Pompey starting eleven but Redknapp has admitted he could of sold the player.

United and City to lock horns for £80 million striker

Rivals Manchester United and Manchester City are to lock horns in a battle to sign Lyon striker Karim Benzema. The French international has become of of Europe's hottest properties in recent months and he has caught the eye of both Mark Hughes and Sir Alex Ferguson in particular.

Yes, Manchester City striker Robinho has today claimed he has not peaked yet. The Brazilian international made a shock move to Eastlands on transfer deadline day and has since proven a massive hit in the Premier League scoring two goals in two games.

United striker arrested

West Ham United striker Carlton Cole has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. The former England under-21 player was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning and did not take part in the club's Carling Cup tie with Watford that evening due to a foot injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has done it again. It would appear he has signed yet another terrific young talent in the shape of Carlos Vela. The 18-year old Mexican scored a hat-trick on his full debut tonight against Sheffield United in the League Cup third round.
